Pyrene Summer Camp runs this residential camp in Lles de Cerdanya, Spain. The camp welcomes children aged 14–17, with languages on the programme. 6 sessions scheduled Jun 20 – Jul 31, 2027, each lasting 6 nights. Activities run in English and Spanish.
Wild Adventure is a week-long residential camp in the Pyrenees for teenagers aged 14 to 17, set in the forests and mountains of the Cerdanya valley with Pyrene Summer Camp. It is billed as the most complete pack of all: a multi-adventure week where your teenager is the protagonist, taking decisions along the way to work through the challenges the mountain sets, with orienteering, canyoning, mountain biking and community service filling the days. Life happens outdoors and under canvas, camping among the trees, watching the night sky and feeling the weather on the summits, in a camp deliberately built to leave the forest exactly as it was found. Around a third of participants come from abroad, so Catalan, Spanish and English are all spoken, and the native English-speaking monitors from the United States, Canada and Great Britain mean English is picked up naturally while biking, hiking or dropping down a canyon. The team is local to these valleys and made up of education and sport professionals, which gives the week its mix of real adventure and steady guidance.
The Wild Adventure week is built as a single multi-adventure programme rather than a menu of electives: the group moves through orienteering, canyoning, mountain biking and community service across the seven days, with the teenagers themselves deciding how to tackle the challenges put in front of them. Pyrene describes it as the most complete pack on offer, and the emphasis is on autonomy — reading the terrain, choosing the route, solving problems together — rather than on supervised sessions at a fixed timetable. Days are spent out in the valleys, rivers and peaks of the Cerdanya, returning to a camp pitched in the woods, and the community service element gives back to the mountain villages the camp works alongside. English runs through everything, spoken naturally with native-speaking monitors and with international campers, instead of being taught in a classroom. The whole programme is run on a zero-emissions, leave-no-trace basis, with mobile facilities, solar-heated water and all waste recycled, so the way the camp lives is part of what it teaches.
The monitors are local people based in these Pyrenean valleys, professionals in education and sport who know the terrain the group will be moving through, and they are joined by native English-speaking monitors from the United States, Canada and Great Britain. Groups are kept to a set size, with 25 places per week on the Wild Adventure shift.

Campers sleep out in the middle of the woods, in a camp whose facilities are mobile and foldable so that the forest is left exactly as it was found. Hot water for the showers comes from solar panels, with no CO2 emissions, and the whole site runs on the camp's zero-waste approach.
Forest campsite in the Cerdanya valley, in the Pyrenees mountains
The camp is pitched in the woods of the Cerdanya valley, high in the Pyrenees, and is designed to be entirely sustainable: everything is mobile and foldable so the forest is left as it was, hot water is heated by solar panels with no CO2 emissions, and all waste is recycled. Pyrene also makes use of existing public facilities in the valley rather than building new ones, buying from responsible local suppliers and supporting the communities around the camp.
