Multi-activity camps in New York centre on the Adirondacks, where Adirondack Woodcraft Camps in Old Forge, Camp Chateaugay and Camp Jeanne d'Arc in Merrill, and Pok-O-MacCready Camps run full days across swimming, canoeing, ropes courses, horse riding and team sports on their own lakes. Timber Lake West Camp, further south, adds go-karting and gymnastics to the same lake-camp format.
All are residential, cabin-based camps taking children from around the early primary years through the late teens. English is spoken throughout, and families choosing between them are largely weighing the exact lake and setting, since the broad activity mix carries across all of them.
