Pyrene Summer Camp runs this residential camp in Lles de Cerdanya, Spain. The camp welcomes children aged 12–14, with languages on the programme. 6 sessions scheduled Jun 20 – Jul 31, 2027, each lasting 6 nights. Activities run in English and Spanish.
Bold Adventure is a week-long residential camp in the Pyrenees for 12 to 14 year olds who are ready to step up the challenge, run by Pyrene Summer Camp in the Cerdanya valley. Groups of up to 25 young people share a camp set among the woods, where the days are built around orienteering, canyoning, mountain biking and community service in the surrounding mountains. English runs through the whole experience: alongside local monitors from these valleys there are native English-speaking monitors from the United States, Canada and Great Britain, and with roughly a third of participants coming from abroad, Catalan, Spanish and English are all heard around camp. The spirit is simple and outdoor-focused, phones set aside, nights under the Pyrenean sky, and a camp designed to leave the forest exactly as it was found.
Bold Adventure is a multi-adventure week for 12 to 14 year olds, with each session capped at around 25 participants so the group lives and moves through the valley together. The programme is built on four strands that recur through the week, orienteering, canyoning, mountain biking and community service, mixing physical challenge in rivers and on mountain trails with time given back to the valley and its people. Activities run in the real landscape of Cerdanya rather than on a fixed site, which means days are shaped by the route or the ravine ahead rather than by a timetable of stations. Pyrene's approach blends volunteer-camp traditions, non-formal education and classic summer camp, so campers are encouraged to make decisions, take responsibility and look after the environment they are moving through. Local monitors who know these valleys lead alongside native English-speaking monitors, giving the whole week a bilingual, international feel.
Pyrene asks young people to leave their phones behind for the week and invites them instead to connect with nature, with new friends and with themselves. Days are spent outdoors in the mountains, so the camp experience is deliberately built around the group and the landscape rather than around screens.

Campers live outdoors in the middle of the woods, in a camp built from mobile, foldable facilities that are set up for the summer and taken down again so the forest is left as it was found. Hot water for showers is heated by solar panels, waste is fully recycled and supplies come from local producers, so daily camp life is part of the camp's low-impact approach rather than a backdrop to it.
Woodland camp in the Cerdanya valley, high in the Pyrenees
The camp sits among the forests of the Cerdanya valley in the Pyrenees, with the mountain peaks, rivers and ravines used for the week's activities serving as the real campus. Rather than building permanent structures, Pyrene uses mobile and foldable facilities together with existing public installations, powering hot water with solar panels and recycling all of its waste.

Getting your child there
Barcelona El Prat Airport
Pickup service · International families most often fly into Barcelona El Prat, where the camp team meets arriving participants every Sunday between 11am and 3pm and brings them up to the Pyrenees; the return drop-off at the airport runs every Saturday between 1pm and 7pm. The transfer is an optional extra chosen at the time of booking, charged per journey.
Puigcerdà railway station
Pickup service · The greenest way to arrive is by train on the R3 Rodalies line from Barcelona to Puigcerdà, in the Cerdanya valley, where a member of the camp team meets participants at the station and drives them the last stretch to the campsite. The station transfer is booked as an option with the camp place and charged per journey.
Latour-de-Carol – Enveitg station
Pickup service · Families travelling from France and the rest of Europe can take an SNCF service directly to Latour-de-Carol – Enveitg, on the French side of the Cerdanya, and the camp collects participants from the station so the journey ends in the mountains rather than in a city.
Barcelona city and surrounding area
Pickup service · For families already in or near Barcelona, Pyrene also runs a group transfer from meeting points in the city and its surrounding area up to the camp in Cerdanya, chosen at booking and charged per journey in each direction.
