Nestled in the heart of Switzerland’s breathtaking Alps, Préfleuri is located in a traditional Swiss chalet surrounded by 2 acres of natural playground. Préfleuri is 2km away from Villars-sur-Ollon, an authentic ski resort with an altitude of 1,300 m. Welcoming children of all nationalities from ages 3 to 14 since 1948, a journey at Préfleuri’s Holiday Camps is a time shared with our family who will welcome you with open arms. Préfleuri organises its summer programme around age bands — 3 to 4, 5 to 7, 8 to 9, 10 to 11 and 12 to 14 — so that every child takes part in sport and recreation alongside others at the same stage of confidence and ability. The school's holistic approach pairs language learning in English and French with a varied programme of sport and outdoor activity, so a day moves naturally from lessons into the mountains and back to the chalet. Groups are deliberately reopened at certain points in the day: brothers, sisters and friends from other age bands come together for meals, for some of the outings and for the evening animations. Evenings are led by the Préfleuri educators and animators, with themed nights that help new friendships settle in among children arriving from all over the world. With more than 75 years of welcoming children to Chesières – Villars-sur-Ollon, the camp keeps a deliberately family-style atmosphere rather than a large-scale institutional one.

Préfleuri is run as a small, family-style chalet community, and supervision is built into every part of the day rather than added on top of it. Attentive housemothers look after the children's daily care and wellbeing, and bedtime is a settled, affectionate moment with lights out staggered according to age. Activities are always taken in small age-based groups led by experienced professionals, and the school is explicit that respecting safety instructions matters both for each child and for everyone else in the group. Between activities and dinner there is a calm window at the chalet for showers, writing home and quiet games, so the day always comes back to the same familiar adults and routines.
