Les Elfes Summer Camp
fromCHF 4,750

École Lémania runs this residential camp in Lausanne, Switzerland. The camp welcomes children aged 15–19, with languages on the programme. 6 sessions scheduled Jun 27 – Aug 14, 2027, each lasting 13 nights. Activities run in English, French, and German.
Set on École Lémania's campus in central Lausanne, a few minutes from Lake Geneva, this summer camp welcomes students aged 15 to 19 from more than 50 countries for stays of two to seven weeks between late June and mid-August. Mornings are devoted to 16.5 hours a week of intensive study — French, English or German from A1 to C1, hands-on Science Discovery, or Science Prep for maturité, Bac, university and EPFL entry — taught in small groups by qualified teachers. Afternoons and evenings then open onto up to 14 supervised activities a week, from wakeboarding and sailing on the lake to canyoning, karting and visits to Chillon Castle or the Olympic Museum, with the programme refreshed each week. Boarders live in the school's own boarding house, on separate girls' and boys' floors, with full board prepared to the Swiss Fourchette Verte health standard, weekly laundry and a team on hand around the clock. Day students join the same classes, the same lunch table and, if they wish, the same afternoon and evening outings, making for a genuinely international summer in a city known for being safe and easy to move around.
Not provided
The week is built on a simple rhythm: intensive classes every morning from Monday to Friday, then a full afternoon and evening of activities, with up to 14 activities a week for boarders from Monday right through Sunday. The programme is set weekly by the team rather than chosen à la carte, and it is renewed each week — the site publishes two indicative sample weeks — so students staying several sessions keep discovering something new instead of repeating the same rotation. A typical afternoon runs from 2:00 to 6:30 PM on the lake, in the mountains or on a cultural visit, and evenings from 8:00 to 10:30 PM are given to supervised entertainment before lights out. Weekends bring a late brunch followed by activities and excursions for everyone staying on. Transport, drinks, snacks, supervision and insurance are all part of the boarding package, while day students can add the afternoon programme and the evening activity with dinner, and paragliding over the lake or a Europa Park weekend can be booked as extras.

Professional supervision is provided by the Lémania teams at all times — in class, at the boarding house, on transport and during leisure activities — with a dedicated team present day and night for boarders. Health and accident insurance is included in the boarding package and for day students who take part in activities. The boarding house is arranged over two separate floors, one for girls and one for boys, and the administration keeps students' pocket money in a safe place, handing out amounts as needed so nothing gets lost. At registration parents state any medical condition, allergy or treatment, confirm whether their child can swim and give or withhold consent for supervised water activities, and the school points to Lausanne itself as a city known for being secure.
breakfast
Served from 8:00 to 8:50 before morning classes.
lunch
A midday break from 12:30 to 14:00, prepared to Fourchette Verte standards and also open to day students.
dinner
A sit-down evening meal from 18:30 to 20:00, often featuring traditional dishes from around the world.
snacks
Fresh fruit, sandwiches and pastries available self-service at the centre, plus drinks and snacks during activities.
Meals are one of the social high points of the day: boarders sit down to breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, while day students share the same lunch table. Menus are prepared daily by the school's own team to the requirements of the Swiss Fourchette Verte health label, with ingredient origin and traceability closely monitored and a large salad buffet alongside. The main course is served at the table by staff while starters and desserts are buffet-style, so students build the plate they want and can ask for seconds. A basket of fresh fruit and assorted snacks is restocked several times a day, and when the weather is kind meals move outdoors, with barbecues organised for relaxed evenings together.

Boarders live in the École Lémania boarding house in the heart of Lausanne, which the school describes as having a warm, family-like atmosphere, spread over two separate floors — one reserved for girls, one for boys. Rooms come in three categories, Standard, Comfort and Comfort+, taken as a single room or a twin with single beds, and many are spacious enough for a proper study corner; some have a private balcony and, depending on orientation, a view over Lake Geneva, the Alps and the Jura. Standard rooms have a washbasin and a shared bathroom, Comfort rooms (girls only) add a private shower inside the room with shared toilets and a fridge, and Comfort+ rooms have a full private bathroom with toilet and shower plus a large study area. Unlimited Wi-Fi is available throughout, and a weekly laundry and dry-cleaning service is included in the boarding package.
Amenities
Urban campus in central Lausanne, on the shores of Lake Geneva and facing the Alps
The school sits in the heart of Lausanne, named best small city in the world by Monocle, with the lake, the Lavaux vineyards and the Alps all within easy reach and a magnificent panorama from the upper floors. Everything a student needs is on one site: classrooms where the intensive courses run each morning, laboratory space for the hands-on science programme, the dining room where boarders and day students eat together, and the boarding house upstairs. An outdoor area is used for open-air meals and barbecues when the weather allows. The Montbenon car park is 200 metres away and Lausanne's main railway station a five-to-ten-minute walk, so excursions and airport transfers leave from the door.

Getting your child there
Geneva Airport
Pickup service · Geneva International Airport is about one hour from the campus and is the recommended arrival point. The Lémania team meets students in the terminal every Sunday between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM and drives them to Lausanne, with boarding arrivals accepted at the school between 12:00 and 8:00 PM; on departure the shuttle leaves camp at 11:00 AM on Saturday for an airport arrival around noon. Zurich Airport
Pickup service · Zurich Airport is roughly 3.5 hours from the school. It is not covered by the included Sunday shuttle, but a private transfer driven by the Lémania team can be booked as an option when you register, at CHF 900 one way or CHF 1,800 round trip.
Basel-Mulhouse Airport
