Overview

Expanish offers a Spanish immersion summer camp, a boutique program with limited spaces, for young people in sunny Málaga, a beautiful Mediterranean city, located in the south of Spain, in the region of Andalusia. A medium-sized safe city, it surprises with its culture and history, its beaches, the friendliness of its people and the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All this makes it a perfect destination for teenage students. They can choose between 1, 2 and 3 weeks and stay in a state of the art residence with a swimming pool and fantastic facilities.

Activities

Students will enjoy a blend of cultural, social, and sporting activities throughout the week, including night-time events and weekend excursions. These activities are carefully crafted to encourage students to delve into the local culture, practice Spanish beyond the classroom, and have a great time. We will have a mix with local students in some of the activities. Cultural Activities: These engaging activities, lasting 2 to 4 hours, unfold in Málaga during weekday afternoons. Examples comprise walking tours, flamenco and salsa classes, museum visits, and more, with a total of 5 activities per week. Night Activities: Students will partake in organized night-time activities, fostering socialization in a structured setting. Options include disco night, movie night, night tours, and similar events, with 3 activities scheduled each week. Excursions: A highlight is the weekly excursion, offering students the opportunity for day trips or weekend** adventures to nearby cultural sites such as Nerja/Frigiliana, Marbella and the coast, Río Chillar, or Aqualand. During day trips, students will be provided with a packed lunch and a snack.

Throughout, we maintain a lighthearted and playful approach, ensuring that classes are enjoyable. Our teachers, all native speakers, bring a wealth of experience to create a vibrant and effective learning environment. Our classes nurture the development of the four essential language skills: speaking, reading, writing, and oral comprehension. 20 lessons per week taught entirely in Spanish All class material is included Maximum 12 students per class Classes are held on the residence premises.

Accommodation & facilities

Expanish provides students with accommodation in residence, a dorm situated in Teatinos, the university district. The residence, housed in a building with 242 rooms, ensures the separation of students by gender. It is staffed 24 hours a day to guarantee the comfort and supervision of students.Meals are served in the residence's canteen and room cleaning occurs once a week.Residence amenities include: Single rooms with ensuite bathrooms and a small kitchenette Buffet breakfast and a two-course set menu for lunch and dinner. Access to communal spaces such as swimming pool, social room, games room, cinema room and patio.

What is the cancellation policy and prepayment required?

What health and safety measures are in place?

Students will be supervised by Expanish staff and activity leaders who have experience working with children and coordinating groups. All staff have passed a background check. The ratio of staff to students during the program is 1 to 15. Attending classes and activities is compulsory. 24/7 emergency phone. Students may not go out at night unsupervised. The curfew will be 11 pm everyday. There will be 24/7 supervision staff at the residence. Expanish staff will live at the residence with students for the duration of the program. Alcohol, tobacco and drug consumption is prohibited and its possession or consumption will result in immediate expulsion from the course without any refund. Any extra costs incurred must be paid bythe customer (transfer, new flight, escort service for minors, etc.).
