Just 45 minutes from Geneva airport, with easy access to the lakes and mountains, it offers a wealth of possibilities for young people. Summer Course welcomes boys and girls aged 10-17 from all around the world. Why not join us? Activities

Special focus

Language & activities · Languages

The Brillantmont Summer Course is built around choice: each morning is devoted to one academy chosen at the time of application, either English, French or the Tech Academy taught in English, with teachers who keep lessons lively so progress comes quickly. Afternoons follow the same principle, with students committing to BM Move for four afternoons of sport on campus or by the lake, or combining two afternoons of BM Create in the art studio or two afternoons of BM Tennis Pro coaching with two afternoons of Move. Wednesday afternoons sit outside this pattern, and the day rounds off with evening activities on campus and in Lausanne, from cooking workshops and talent night to bowling, ice skating and cinema evenings. Weekends open out into excursions across Switzerland, mixing mountain adventure, lake outings and cultural visits. Because the choices are fixed at enrolment, children settle into a familiar rhythm with the same group each afternoon, which helps friendships form fast in a school where students of different nationalities share rooms and eat every meal with the staff.

Meals

Students eat all meals together with staff in the school dining room, except when the group has a picnic or barbecue. Several menu choices are offered, always including a vegetarian option, a salad bar and a selection of fruit. Students with special dietary needs are contacted by the school nurse, who checks with the chef whether the needs can be accommodated.

You'll live in a boarding house with other students of the same gender. The boarding floors within a house are organised by age, with different rules for different ages. A teacher lives on the floor with you and is there to support you and take care of you. Our rooms are very comfortable and large: you will share a room with one or two other students from a different nationality. This means that you will find a common language for communication and learn about another culture. We're sure you'll make some great friends and keep in contact in years to come. Many of the rooms overlook the lake and the Alps, so you'll wake up to spectacular views. All buildings have security codes in order to guarantee your safety.Except in one house, all students share a bathroom (about 3-4 students per bathroom). The bathrooms are large and spacious and have all that you need. All your meals will be taken in our dining room, which is a large, beautiful space. You have a choice of a vegetarian or a meat menu and we take into account any special dietary needs you may have.Brillantmont is small and family owned and run. We want you to feel safe, happy and comfortable in your summer experience and we are proud that many students return year after year.

Getting your child there

Airport

Geneva

Pickup service · Geneva International Airport is about a forty minute drive from the school, and it is the arrival point for almost all of our summer students. Staff meet the group on the official arrival Saturday and accompany them on the transfer up to Lausanne, with the same arrangement in reverse on departure Saturday, so your child is looked after from the moment they land until they are back at the airport. The transfer to and from Geneva on the official arrival and departure times is included in the Summer Course fees, so flights are best booked to fit those Saturday windows.

All arrivals and departures take place on Saturdays, so please plan your journey around the official Saturday changeover day when staff are on hand to welcome new students and help them settle into their boarding house.
