Skiing · Sports & Outdoor

The winter programme is built around a clear, well-supervised daily structure in which professional ski and snowboard instruction on the Gstaad slopes is combined with an enrichment programme back at the Lodge, so children come off the mountain into something purposeful rather than empty afternoons. Campers are grouped by age and ability, which lets first-timers progress at their own pace while stronger skiers and riders move on towards racing and freestyle with the same instructors. Around the snow sports, the week is threaded with swimming, indoor rock climbing, arts and crafts, team sports and games, plus language practice in English, French and German, and evenings bring organised evening programmes with the counsellors. What gives the camp its character is its scale and its family feel: it is a second-generation family business where the directors know the children by name, staff share meals and supervision, and the first concern remains the welfare and happiness of each individual camper. The result is a holiday that feels balanced — real coaching and new skills wrapped in the warmth of a small alpine lodge community.

Meals

breakfast

Served at the Lodge for boarding campers before the day on the mountain begins.

lunch

Included for both boarders and day campers.

dinner

An evening meal at the Lodge for boarders, shared with the counsellor team.

Boarding campers are looked after from the first coffee-scented breakfast to the last plate at dinner, with breakfast, lunch and dinner served in the Mountain Lodge's spacious dining room and its wide views over the Saanenland, while day campers sit down to lunch with everyone else. Counsellors and instructors share mealtimes with the children rather than eating apart, so the table becomes one more place where languages are practised and new friendships settle in. Campers themselves single out the food as one of the things they remember most fondly about their stay.
