Provider — How World Camps Works
When a Camp Closes for Good
Updated 28 Sept 2026
If your camp will not run again — the business has closed, or the programme has been discontinued for good — tell us and we will mark its page as permanently closed. Here is what that means, and how it differs from removing the page.
What a closed page shows
Your camp's page stays online, with a clear "Permanently closed" label under the name and a short note saying the camp no longer runs. Families who search for its name, or open an old link, still land on it and understand straight away what happened.
Everything a family could act on is removed: no dates, no prices, no availability, no booking, no message or question buttons, no waiting list, no wishlist. Right under the note, the page suggests camps that are still running nearby, closest first, so the family can carry on with their search.
The page no longer appears anywhere else: not in search results, not on destination or activity pages, not in "similar camps" on other profiles, not in our rankings or sitemaps.
Closed or removed?
- Closed keeps the page as a closed listing. Choose it when the camp existed and families may still look for it.
- Removed (archived) takes the page down completely. Choose it for a listing that should never have been public, or a duplicate.
Both are done by our team, by hand, at your request — nothing closes automatically. Write to us from your dashboard's Help, or reply to any of our e-mails, and say which camp and which option you want.
If the camp reopens
A closed page can be reopened at any time: your listing comes back exactly as it was, with its dates and prices, and you can edit it again. Ask us and we reopen it the same day. Families can also tell us from the closed page itself ("Is this camp open again? Tell us"); we check every note by hand before changing anything.
Your account
Closing one camp does not touch your account or your other camps. Your messages, bookings and reviews stay in your dashboard as they were.
