Getting Approved — Onboarding Checkpoints

Updated 28 Sept 2026

Here's what happens between signing up and your first request.

The onboarding steps

After you sign up, you'll go through a short sequence:

  1. Contact & Account — your information.
  2. Find Your Organization — your business details.
  3. About Your Organization — the basics, which also seed your first camp profile.
  4. Review & submit — a final check before your application goes in.

Your application is then reviewed. Applications with a strong enough profile score are approved automatically; anything else — including a camp with no Google Business listing — is reviewed by a person, and you'll see the status on your dashboard.

After approval: four steps on your setup home

  1. Create your camp — photos, activities, age ranges, what's included.
  2. Publish your profile — visible to families, on any plan, no approval needed.
  3. Add your dates & prices — it's what families look for first. The first time you publish a session, you confirm child safety and accept the Marketplace terms (no annual fee). Your dates go online right away.
  4. Get paid — how families pay you: connect Stripe, set your deposit and your cancellation policy for online payments through World Camps; or collect payments yourself with a Pro or Premium licence.

Documents — what they do and don't gate

Your business registration and your liability insurance certificate never stop you from publishing your camp or your sessions. They gate one thing: families sending requests through World Camps. Upload both under Account → Verification; our team reads them and requests open by themselves the moment both are approved — there is no button to press and nothing else to confirm. If a document can't be verified as it is, we email you the reason and you upload a replacement.

Stripe is not part of that step. Online payments switch on by themselves once your documents are verified, Stripe is connected, and your deposit and cancellation policy are set.

What actually gates what

  • Publishing your camp profile is fully self-serve — on any plan, with zero sessions if you like.
  • Publishing a session needs the Child safety confirmation (a single checkbox — no documents to upload) and, the first time on a camp without a plan, the Marketplace terms. Pro and Premium camps skip the child-safety step.
  • Requests from families open once both documents are verified.
  • Online payments open once Stripe, your deposit and your cancellation policy are in place (Get paid).

Where to check your progress

Your setup home shows the four steps and what comes next; it updates itself as you complete each one — there's nothing to mark as done manually.
