When a Conversation Goes Quiet for 14 Days

Nothing is lost. Here is exactly what changes after two weeks of silence.

While the conversation is active

Every conversation with a family has its own private relay address. As long as someone has written in it during the last 14 days — you or the family, from the inbox or by e-mail — a reply sent from your e-mail app is delivered into the conversation and the family is notified.

After 14 quiet days

Once 14 days pass with no new message, replies by e-mail are no longer delivered for that conversation. If you reply by e-mail anyway, you receive a short automatic note — "This conversation has moved to World Camps" — with a link to the thread. Open the conversation in your dashboard (Messages) and answer there: that message reaches the family, and replying by e-mail works again for the next 14 days.

The conversation itself never disappears. It stays in Messages with its full history, and the family can still write to you at any time — their message reopens everything.

Why 14 days

The relay address is a door into your conversation. Closing it after two weeks of silence keeps an old address from being used months later by someone else, without getting in the way of a live exchange.

Does the 14-day window affect my ranking?

The window itself doesn't. What does count is how reliably and how quickly you answer families: your response rate and average reply time are among the signals used to order camps, and they are the same numbers shown on your organiser card. Answering within 24 hours is what families remember — and what the ranking rewards.
