The Open Camp is a residential junior golf camp with accommodation at Dollar Academy, Scotland, from 10–17 July 2027 (seven nights). PGA Professional Rick Valentine has run junior golf camps since 2003. RVGS combines professional coaching and Scottish golf with friendships, confidence, independence and enjoyment. Choose Ultimate (ages 10–18, no official handicap required; £3,150 residential), Hidden Gems (ages 12–18, established 18-hole golfers with an official handicap; £3,300 residential) or Signature (ages 14–18, established 18-hole golfers with a handicap of 15 or better; £3,650 residential). Development is not offered this week. Age guides are a starting point; playing experience and confidence also matter. Every experience includes two hours of professional group coaching each day, alongside golf suited to the group, with a maximum of eight golfers per experience per week. Residential places include accommodation, meals, staff support and organised evening activities. This week is residential only. High Performance Coaching is an optional paid enhancement alongside Ultimate, Hidden Gems and Signature, adding individual analysis and support; it is not a separate camp. Combine this week with our St Andrews camps on 4–10 July, 18–24 July or 25–31 July for a multi-week stay. Complimentary transfers are available from Edinburgh Airport and Edinburgh Waverley only. Residential places during The Open Week include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Please tell RV Golf Schools about dietary requirements and allergies before booking so we can discuss your golfer’s needs. This week is residential only; no non-residential places are offered.
Screen time policy
Days here are full, so we ask families to save calls and messages for the evening whenever possible, when your golfer has time to talk properly about the round they have just played. To protect a good night's sleep before an early start, mobile phones are collected each evening and lights go off at 10pm. WiFi is available throughout the boarding houses, and every child is given a 24-hour mobile number for their allocated primary carer, while parents have a 24-hour emergency contact number and direct access to the Camp Director.

The Open Camp runs from 10–17 July 2027, with accommodation based at Dollar Academy in Scotland. Golf and coaching take place at the venues in the planned 2027 programme. RVGS activity photos show previous camps and are illustrative; this is our first camp based at Dollar Academy. Course allocations and daily schedules remain subject to final confirmation.
