Olympia is built around one-week overnight sessions, and families choose how their child spends that week: as a specialty camper, focused on a single sport or program with four to five hours of coached training each day, or in the All-Sport Adventure program, which samples many sports and outdoor activities and suits campers who are not ready to pick just one. Either way, the specialty hours sit inside a traditional camp day, so training is followed by waterfront time, ropes and adventure challenges, cabin life and evening programs like skit nights, campfires and the video dance, with a morning dance that campers describe as the camp's signature wake-up. Because the sport line-up changes every session across more than seventy activities, campers can return in a different week for a completely different focus, and many stay on for consecutive weeks with no gap in between. Coaching comes from adult coaches, activity specialists and visiting professional athletes, while counsellors carry the pastoral side, and the whole program is framed by Olympia's 'everyday heroes' language about goal-setting, resilience and looking after the people around you. Teens can step into the leadership side of the same community through the three-week Leadership & Peer Support program, coaching, counselling and running camp traditions themselves.

My three boys have been attending Olympia since the eldest was 7 years old. He is currently 17 and is part of the waterfront staff. My second oldest is looking forward to taking the 3 week leadership program next summer. The youngest, aged 12 , still loves all the sports and activities Olympia has to offer. It is hard to imagine a summer without Olympia in their lives.

A place of growth and development in your sport and as a person where a sense of community resonates. That is what Olympia is to me. As a mother and nurse, health and safety was a major concern when I was first thinking of sending my son to any camp. Once I met the medical staff at Olympia I did not have even a moment of concern. The food is excellent.

Dave Grace's motivational talks, that are a part of the camp's essence, have shaped me as a person. I had the pleasure of attending Olympia as a camper and as a staff member. I am proud to say I am an active member of Olympia's alumni association today.
