Since 1983, Cavendish School of English has been providing expert English language training for students of all ages and nationalities. More than 300,000 students have benefited from our courses. Cavendish School of English is situated in three elegant Victorian buildings in a quiet, residential area of Bournemouth and offers a safe environment for study. The town centre is only 5 minutes away on foot. We offer high standard language courses for adult students with any English level. Small classes of maximum 12 students and extra 4 Free Conversation lessons per week. Cavendish School is also famous for its holiday camps – all year round. We are offering more excursions than any other language schools and daily pickup/drop-off services from/to host families at an unbelievable price. Accommodation is residential or host family. The time your students spend at our language school will greatly increase their knowledge and prepare them well for life in an English-speaking world.

Cavendish builds its junior summer programme around two halves that support each other: student-centred, communicative English lessons taught by qualified teachers who make a point of knowing every student by name, and an activity and excursion programme designed to put that English straight to use. Juniors have their own space and their own academic team, since adult students at the school are kept separate in their own building with a dedicated reception and Director of Studies, so younger students are always among their own age group. The rhythm of a fortnight is generous with outings, with six to seven excursions built in thanks to the school's own coaches, so classroom days alternate with days out. Students up to the age of 14 are collected from and returned to their homestay hosts up to four times a day by the school's own coaches, while older students are given a public transport ticket, which keeps the daily flow between host family, school and activities straightforward. Running through it all is the family-run character of the school, with six family members involved day to day and a Welfare Officer whose sole job is looking after Cavendish students.

- Full board host family ( shared room, single) whole year round - Residence accommodation ( single room, en-suite) - summer only - There's a limit of 2 people in the homestay but up to 3/4 people on request. Residence - single room ensuite, summer only. Students on the Junior Programmes have 3 meals a day and will be accommodated in twin rooms (unless requested otherwise). There will be a maximum of 4 students in the homestay house. Please note that meals on arrival day start with dinner and finish on departure day with breakfast. Older junior students (15+) will be provided with tickets for public transport. Journey time will be no longer than 30 minutes to get from homestay to school. Younger junior students (14 and under) will be picked up and dropped off by our own coaches and buses up to 4 times daily. Our coaches will get as close as possible to the homestay for added security. Typical coach/bus journeys for our premium students are: Pickup in the morning from homestay, take students to school. Take students back to homestay after lessons and/or day programme for dinner Pick up students after dinner for evening activity Drop off students at homestay after evening programme Journey time greatly depends on daily changing local traffic/roadworks and will be between 15 and 45 minutes. Residential accommodation is available throughout the summer and is in walking distance (approx. 7 minutes from school). Rooms are en-suite and have Wi-Fi. Rooms are located within flats of 6-8 bedrooms and contain a common room. We use the residences of the local university called AUB House and Purbeck House. Food is included in the course price and is provided 3 times daily in our school canteen. Please note that meals on arrival day start with dinner and finish on departure day with breakfast.
