The week has a clear and comfortable rhythm: mornings and early afternoons belong to the mountain, with five hours of ski or snowboard tuition each day from Monday to Friday in ability-based groups led by instructors from the Ecole Suisse de Ski et de Snowboard, and the rest of the day belongs to camp life. Groups return to the hotel around four o'clock for hot chocolate and cakes, then move straight into an apres-ski activity, shower hour and the evening meal, with a second organised activity before lights out at nine for juniors and ten for seniors. Rather than choosing electives, campers follow a set programme that rotates through ice skating, swimming, climbing, night skiing, the torch-lit walk, sledging, discos, movie nights and the Camp Suisse Escape Game, so nobody misses out and there is always something happening. Being based on the slopes at 1700m at the foot of three chairlifts means no daily coach transfers, and progress is tracked properly through the Swiss Snow League with a medal and progress book at the end. Phones stay behind during activities and meals, with a set window each day after lessons to call home, which keeps everyone present with the group. Camp Suisse staff provide round-the-clock care throughout, and the small scale of the camp, up to seventy guests in a family hotel, means the team gets to know each child personally.

I want to thank Julie, Rosie and Richard and all the staff for the support you gave to Henry on his stay at Camp Suisse. He had an amazing experience at Camp Suisse! Henry travelled solo from Sydney, Australia at 14 years of age and the whole experience was seamless. Although he had really no idea of what it was going to be like the camp exceeded all expectations!! Henry just absolutely had an extraordinary time with his fellow members in his group and staff. As Henry was so far away from home there really wasn’t any turning back and he just got so much out of this experience. He loved the people, the food, the activities were so different and so well done. Learning skiing each day, being outdoors and active was fabulous. As a parent I highly recommend this camp to any family looking for an alternative opportunity for their son and daughter. The Facebook updates and an occasional call from Henry enabled us to feel very comfortable from the beginning to the end of the camp. So thank you and we look forward to sharing this experience with our other kids and families here in Australia. We will spread the word! It’s a great idea also if families are travelling in Europe and parents want some time to themselves. Thanks again Camp Suisse staff

Set in the heart of the Swiss Alps, Camp Suisse Ski camps are based in the picturesque village of Les Crosets (Portes du Soleil). This base is perfect for exploring what this incredible region has to offer in the winter. We are ninety minutes by car from Geneva Airport. The village of Les Crosets is situated 1700m above the Rhône Valley in the Canton of Valais. The camp is situated on the slopes, at the base of three modern chairlifts which link directly into the Portes du Soleil ski area, providing direct access onto the pistes. The Portes du Soleil is the largest interlinked ski area in Europe. Les Crosets is a quiet village with incredible rustic charm, found at the end of the mountain road. Camp Suisse Ski camp is hosted in a cosy family hotel. With space for up to 70 guests, the Camp Suisse camp has accommodation across two floors, all centred around comfy lounge style common areas. Male and female guests are housed separately in spacious and comfortable rooms, sleeping two to six people of the same age. All have private en-suite bathroom facilities. Guests benefit from a number of local facilities including easy access to the Palladium Sports complex in Champery with its indoor climbing wall, state of the art sports hall, ice rink and swimming pool. On site, campers have access to ping pong and table football, the Camp Suisse Escape Game and various areas of chill out space. Outside the camp, we have a sledging area overlooking the fabulous Dents du Midi.

Families are welcome to bring their child to the door: the camp is at Hotel Telecabine, Rte des Crosets 69, 1873 Crosets, at the base of three chairlifts in Les Crosets and about ninety minutes by car from Geneva. Pickup service · Campers travelling by rail are met at Aigle station in the Rhone valley and accompanied by Camp Suisse staff up the mountain road to Les Crosets, with the return transfer also included in the fee. Arrivals are handled between 9am and 5pm on arrival Sunday, with departures on trains leaving between 12pm and 5pm on the final Saturday. Simply confirm your travel details with us in the weeks before camp.

Pickup service · Accompanied return transfers from Geneva Cornavin station are included in the camp fee, with Camp Suisse staff meeting campers at the station and travelling with them to camp. As with all arrivals, aim to reach Geneva between 9am and 5pm on arrival Sunday and to leave between 12pm and 5pm on departure Saturday, and send us confirmed travel details beforehand. Other arrival points can be arranged for an additional fee on request.

Pickup service · For the 14 to 20 February camp only, Camp Suisse runs accompanied return travel by road from the UK, included in the camp fee. There are various pick-up points including London and Dover, and campers cross to the continent by cross-channel ferry or train, with Camp Suisse staff alongside them for the whole journey. The coach leaves the UK on Saturday afternoon and returns on the following Saturday morning.
