BLISS is a residential English Language summer school designed to give young people more than classroom English. We run our programmes in outstanding British boarding school settings, such as Strathallan School, Dollar Academy and Loretto School, in Scotland and at Prior's Field and Kent College near London. These campuses provide safe, green, spacious environments with excellent facilities for learning, sport and social activities. Students experience life in real UK school communities, not temporary venues, which helps them quickly feel part of something purposeful and well-structured. What sets BLISS apart is the balance between academic progress and personal growth. English lessons are engaging and practical, but the real difference is how students are encouraged to speak up, take responsibility and build confidence every day. At the centre of this approach is The BLISS Academy — a focused programme that develops communication skills, teamwork and leadership through presentations, projects and real-world challenges. BLISS is about helping students grow in ability and self-belief, in environments that support both achievement and enjoyment.

The entire experience was awesome! The staff and the teachers, cozy and home-like atmosphere. Variety of activities the children enjoyed: from classes in the morning, sports, baking and arts and crafts in the evenings, and excursions to the surrounding cities with knowledgeable guide who made the stories of Scotish history all the more fun and interesting. Great food and scenery.

I would highly recommend anyone to join Bliss Summer language school : Any child I have sent there has come back delighted and has improved their english : between the lessons in the morning and the action-packed rest of the day the children are really happy. Regarding the running of the stays, rules are followed whether by the adults or the children to guarantee the security of the children at all times and the staff remains available at all times too.

Every meal at Loretto is freshly prepared by Thomas Franks, a caterer that specialises in school dining, and served in the school's historic dining hall. Mornings begin with a hearty breakfast offering both hot and continental choices, while lunch and dinner always pair a hot main with salads and vegetarian options so there is something for every taste. Fresh fruit, healthy snacks and drinks are available through the day to keep children going between classes and activities, and the kitchen team builds menus around nutritious, seasonal ingredients. Mealtimes are deliberately social, giving students a relaxed moment to sit with new friends and practise their English, and special dietary requirements are catered for.
