Choosing your cancellation policy
Updated 9 Oct 2026
Your cancellation policy says how much of the price a family gets back if they cancel, depending on how far before the start they do it. You set it under Financials › Booking terms. Families read it on your camp page and again before they confirm their booking.
Two ready-made policies
- Flexible: the family is refunded in full until 30 days before the start, nothing after.
- Moderate: refunded in full until 60 days before the start, half until 30 days before, nothing after.
We suggest Flexible for day camps and Moderate for residential camps. You can also set your own percentages (100, 75, 50, 25 or 0) for each period: more than 90 days before the start, 90 to 60 days, 60 to 30 days, 30 to 14 days, and under 14 days.
What the percentages apply to
The percentages apply to the rest of the price, never to the deposit. Once charged, the deposit is kept whatever the policy says.
Your policy also sets when the rest of the price is charged: each time a part of it stops being refundable, that part is charged to the family's card. The family sees these dates before they confirm.
