When Your Changes Appear on Your Public Page

You saved a change in your camp editor, opened your page and still saw the old version. Here is what happens between a save and your public page, and how long each step takes.

In the editor: immediately

Every section saves on its own, and the top bar shows All changes saved once the save has gone through. The Preview button opens your page in a new tab: the live page for a published camp, a private preview for a draft.

On your public page: within a minute

Public camp pages are served from a cache so they load fast for families anywhere in the world. Every save on a live camp refreshes that cache, but the refresh can take up to a minute to reach every visitor. If you still see the old version after that, reload the page: your browser may be showing you its own saved copy.

Some parts of your page are built from your data

A few elements are not written by you as text. They are composed from what you entered, and they update when that data changes:

• The heading under your camp name, such as "Residential business & entrepreneurship camp in London, United Kingdom", comes from your camp type, your special focus and your address.
• The key-facts line (Ages, Focus, Level, Language lessons, Season…) comes from Audience, the Activities page, Skills & Levels Required and your published sessions.
• The short summary paragraph at the top of your description is composed from the same facts.
• The Activities section groups your activities around your special focus: the focus first, everything else under "Other included activities", in the order you set on the Activities page.

To change one of these, change the data it reads from, then allow the minute above.

Sessions: when you publish them

Sessions are published one by one from Sessions & Pricing. A session appears on your page, with its dates and prices, only once it is published.

Translations: overnight

The other language versions of your page are generated automatically overnight and are usually live within 24 to 48 hours of publishing or editing. See How Translations Work for Your Camp Listing.

Search engines: days to weeks

We notify search engines when you publish. How quickly Google updates its results is up to Google, typically days to a few weeks. There is nothing to do on your side.

Still not showing?

If a change hasn't reached your public page an hour after saving, write to support@world-camps.org with the link to your camp and what you changed.
