Why some camps ask for a deposit and others don't
Updated 9 Oct 2026
Each camp decides. A camp may ask for a deposit — a percentage of the price or a fixed amount — or for no deposit at all. The same organisation can even do both: a deposit on its residential programme and none on its day camp.
Whatever the camp decided, you see it before you commit. The camp page tells you a deposit applies, and the Review & Pay step shows the exact amount and every payment date. What you see there is what will be charged.
Without a deposit, the full price is charged in parts on the dates shown, as each part stops being refundable under the camp's cancellation policy.
