The programme runs on a clear and reassuring rhythm: mornings belong to English lessons in small international classes of no more than fifteen students, afternoons to activities or specialist coaching, and evenings to organised social events with new friends. After the morning break and lunch, students move into their English+ or coaching slot — football, tennis, dance or movie-making, depending on the option chosen — before the whole group comes together for sports and activities at four o'clock. Evenings are staff-led rather than left to chance, with quizzes, talent shows, movie nights and a graduation disco at the end of the course, and house time and a house meeting close the day. One day a week students choose their own excursion from a menu, so they have a genuine say in how their week looks. What ties it together is the mix of nationalities — classmates come from more than sixty countries — which means English is the language of the football pitch and the dinner table as much as the classroom, and every student leaves with a certificate and a personalised teacher report on their progress.

Getting your child there
Heathrow
Pickup service · Heathrow is the airport most families choose, and a transfer can be arranged for an additional fee when you enrol — the same applies to Gatwick, Stansted and Luton. Staff meet arriving students at the airport and bring them to the centre for check-in, and on the final day students are accompanied back to their airport departure rather than travelling alone. If your child is flying as an unaccompanied minor, the airline UM service can be booked alongside the transfer for a fee, so please confirm flight details at the time of enrolment.
Drop-off at the Covent Garden centre
Families driving or travelling in by public transport come straight to International House London at 16 Stukeley Street, Covent Garden, WC2B 5LQ, in the middle of central London. The school is a short walk from Covent Garden station on the Piccadilly line and Holborn station on the Central and Piccadilly lines, so arriving by Tube is straightforward. Arrivals and check-in take place at the centre on Wednesdays, when students meet their house parents, settle into their rooms and join a welcome event; the team can be reached on +44 (0) 20 7611 2400 if you need help planning the journey. · International House London, 16 Stukeley Street, London WC2B 5LQ, United Kingdom
