Take part in a brand new programme this summer, in partnership with the prestigious R66T Academy to develop your cricket skills and learn what it takes to become a professional cricketer. Join us at Royal Holloway for our Cricket Summer Camp and receive training from ECB qualified coaches representing former England captain Joe Root's cricket academy. Develop your bowling, batting and wicketkeeping skills with coaching Masterclasses from ECB Level 3 coaches. Cricket Training with The R66T Academy This summer our students will be receiving cricket coaching from The R66T Academy. Founded in 2018 by former England captain Joe Root, the academy has worked with thousands of students from around the world. They bring top tier coaching and an insight into the world of professional cricket in the UK. Students will take part in cricket coaching sessions & workshops designed to not only improve their batting, bowling and wicketkeeping skills but their all-round fitness and wellbeing too. Our students will have the chance to attend full-day excursions to London sporting landmarks such as Lord’s Cricket Ground and the Kia Oval, with tickets to first class cricket matches first class cricket matches. This is a focused cricket programme rather than a general activity camp: every day pairs a morning and an afternoon block, and those blocks alternate between R66T Academy coaching sessions on the Royal Holloway campus, masterclass days at Eversley Cricket Club and sessions at Egham Cricket Club. Coaching comes from ECB qualified coaches representing former England captain Joe Root's academy, with specialist masterclasses in batting, bowling or wicketkeeping so each player can work on the part of their game that matters most to them. Between the cricket, students take classroom-style workshops that feed straight back into performance, covering sports nutrition and hydration, injury prevention and recovery, mental wellbeing and rest routines, the theory of cricket and tactics, social media and sports marketing, data in sports journalism, and match reports and commentary skills. Excursion days into London to Lord's and the Kia Oval are woven into the same rhythm, and the week builds towards a mini inter-programme cricket festival with medals and trophies, plus a personal "My cricket development journey" project presentation. Groups stay small by design, with a maximum of 100 places per week for ages 10 to 17, and the programme can be taken as a full residential week or as a Monday to Friday day camp.

24/7 supervision
The university has a 24-hour onsite security team who maintain a patrol. There is also a campuswide CCTV. All rooms have secure keycard entry. Damage deposits of £30 or €30 will be collected.

Mobile phones are allowed on campus, however academic staff reserve the right to prohibit these in a classroom setting.

Pickup service · If you have arranged transfers with Oxford International a member of our staff will be waiting for you at the arrivals gate. They will accompany you by coach or taxi to your centre, where a member of the management team will be waiting to greet you. After the programme for the first day has been explained, you will be shown to your accommodation and given a campus tour. Most centres will hold a Group Leader meeting on the first evening.

Drive to Royal Holloway
Families driving their child in head for Royal Holloway, University of London, Egham Hall, Egham, Surrey, TW20 0EX, where a member of the management team meets each arrival at the centre. Egham Station
Egham Station is about a 20 minute walk from the campus and sits on a direct line, with trains reaching London Waterloo in roughly 40 minutes and Richmond in about 20 minutes, which is how the group travels in and out of the city on excursion days. Arriving students who have booked a transfer with Oxford International are met by staff and accompanied to the centre, where the management team greets them before the campus tour.

Local buses at the campus entrance
There is a bus stop directly opposite the campus entrance, with the number 71 running direct to Windsor and the 441 direct to Staines, so getting to and from the local area is straightforward. Students only use local transport as part of supervised programme activities.
