Activities

Special focus

Multi-activity · Sports & Outdoor

Casa de Campo's summer camp is a half-day programme that runs Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to noon through July, which means children get a full morning of activity and are back with their families for lunch. Campers aged four to twelve are grouped by age and led through a rotation rather than choosing electives, so a single morning can move from the equestrian centre to the pool, out to Minitas Beach and back for a snack. The week has its own rhythm too, with recurring favourites like kayak rides and a ping pong tournament that gives the older children something to build towards. What sets it apart is the setting: the whole programme happens inside a gated Caribbean resort, using the same stables, pools and beach the resort is known for, with the Family Program team coordinating each day. Places are limited and reserved in advance, which keeps the groups manageable and the mornings unhurried.

Safety & Supervision

The camp takes place inside the gated Casa de Campo resort, where access is controlled and security is maintained around the clock, so children move between the pool, the beach and the riding facilities within a closed, monitored property. Numbers are managed through advance reservation, and the programme is coordinated by the resort's Family Program team, who can be reached directly by phone before and during the camp.

Meals

snacks

A snack is included each camp morning.

Because the camp runs only through the morning, children head home for lunch, but a snack is built into the programme so there is always a pause for something to eat and drink between horseback riding, the pool and the beach.

The campus

Gated Caribbean beach and country resort in La Romana, on the southeast coast of the Dominican Republic

Camp days unfold across the grounds of Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, a gated property in La Romana that combines swimming pools, the sheltered sands of Minitas Beach, an equestrian centre with its own director of riding and polo, and clay tennis courts, all within the same secured estate. Children stay inside this one campus for the whole morning, walking or riding between the water and the stables rather than travelling off site, and the resort's restaurants and cafés sit close by for families arriving or collecting.
