The $750 deposit and the $750 Winter Payment are non-refundable after January 31st. Cancelations after January 31st are subject to a $300 administrative cancelation fee. Camp Cody reserves the right to cancel acknowledged placements if accounts are not paid in full by May 1st. Tuition is non-refundable after May 1st.

Group Leaders (Age Group Supervisors)Each age group (Pioneers, Juniors, Inters, and Seniors) has a dedicated Group Leader responsible for camper welfare, behavior management, and overall supervision.They serve as the primary point of contact for counselors and are readily available to support campers. Cabin Counselors (Direct Camper Supervision)Each cabin has 3-5 trained counselors who live with and supervise campers 24/7.Counselors ensure that campers are safe, engaged, and supported, providing guidance, encouragement, and structure throughout the day.They lead campers through daily activities, help with cabin routines, and foster a positive, inclusive bunk environment. Activity Instructors & SpecialistsCertified instructors lead activities such as watersports, athletics, creative arts, and adventure programs to ensure skill development and fun.Many specialists hold professional certifications in their fields, including lifeguards, sports coaches, and outdoor adventure guides. Additional Layers of Supervision & Safety24/7 Health Center Staff – On-site nurses and medical personnel ensure camper health and safety.Senior Leadership Walkthroughs – Leadership team members regularly check cabins and activity areas.Camper-to-Staff Ratio – We maintain a low camper-to-staff ratio (4:1 for cabins, 3:1 camp-wide) for individualized attention.Ongoing Staff Training – Counselors and staff receive pre-camp and ongoing training in child development, conflict resolution, safety protocols, and emergency response. Background Check Process:National Criminal Background Check – All staff members undergo a thorough criminal history screening before being hired.Sex Offender Registry Check – We verify all applicants against national and state sex offender registries.Reference Checks – Every staff member must provide professional or character references, which are reviewed before hiring.International Background Checks – For staff members from outside the U.S., we conduct equivalent international screenings through accredited agencies.Social Media & Conduct Review – We review applicants’ social media presence and past conduct to ensure they align with our camp’s values.
