Bellevue Summer Schools work to a comprehensive Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, and the team understands that time apart is as hard for parents as for children. Every staff member completes safeguarding training written specifically for the summer school and is backed by an experienced safeguarding team, while pupils are looked after day to day by house parents and dedicated welfare support staff they can approach at any time. Recruitment follows safer recruitment practice, with background checks and reference follow-up for everyone, and external suppliers such as transfer providers are held to the same standard. House parents live in and are present through the evening and overnight, so there is always a familiar adult nearby.

The Oratory Prep School sits in the heart of Oxfordshire's countryside and opens its facilities to summer pupils: a swimming pool, theatre and performance spaces, outdoor sports pitches and playgrounds, and bright modern classrooms for the morning lessons. Meals are taken in the school's dining room and the adjoining Old Hall, and the boarding house adds a common room and a movie and games room for downtime. The grounds themselves are part of the programme, used for play after lunch and for evening forest skills such as fire-making and shelter-building.
