The DREAM Project is a Dominican non-profit that has worked out of Cabarete on the country's north coast since 2002, supporting 15 partner communities through education, literacy, documentation and youth programmes. Its summer camp is staffed by local public school teachers together with internationally recruited volunteers who are background-checked and trained, and the organisation maintains year-round departments including its own Psychology Department and library and teacher-training programmes.
