Activities

The XUK Activity week has a clear rhythm that campers quickly settle into. Mornings are spent with a designated activity group, working through scheduled sessions where children build skills alongside the same familiar faces, which helps friendships form fast. Afternoons switch to choice: campers pick from a varied timetable so a sporty child can chase another game while someone more creative heads for the arts studio or a craft session. Evenings pull the whole camp back together for one big shared activity, from campfires and Staff vs. Campers to the XUK Musical, Murder Mysteries or a Lip Sync Battle. Because the programme is rewritten each week, children who stay two, three or even five weeks meet fresh activities rather than repeats, and each week also includes an off-site trip to a nearby town or city. Families who want to add more can book optional extras such as the theme park, aqua park or the London theatre day, either individually or bundled into the Gold and Platinum packages.

Testimonial for XUK Summer School

Dear Nick, we would like to thank you for the wonderful camp the kids had last week. They came back home and couldn't stop telling lovely stories of interesting activities, sports, nice staff and new friends, and everything was well-organized. They even said, "This is the best camp I ever had in my life." (They have been to many camps every year in the Netherlands and abroad.) Since the kids departed early last Saturday, they had no chance to thank and say goodbye to all the staff in person. Please forward our greetings to all the staff. It was an unforgettable experience for our kids. We are very grateful. Thank you. They probably will be back soon.

Rebecca, Byron's Mum

Hi Nick and Richard, I just wanted to drop you and the team a line to thank you all for giving Byron and his buddies the best week ever. They honestly had so much fun. I don’t think any of them knew quite what to expect and started off a little nervous, but by the end of the week, when we picked them up, they were buzzing with stories of what they did, the people they met, and of course your XUK team who made the whole experience what it was. I’m so delighted to have been able to send them off on this adventure. I hope you are all having a well deserved rest!! Thank you so much!

Getting your child there

Airport

Bristol

Pickup service · Dauntsey's School sits in Wiltshire within reach of several airports, and XUK runs an escorted Airport Service so unaccompanied campers are met on arrival and taken to camp by the camp team. The transfer is charged at £99 each way and works best when flights are booked close to XUK's recommended arrival and departure times; journeys outside those windows may carry an additional charge, so it is worth checking the Getting to Camp details before ticketing. Transfers included in the Gold and Platinum packages are set to a specific arrival time.

Drive to camp

Families are welcome to drive their child in and see the camp for themselves at drop-off, meeting the team on site. The address is XUK Residential Camp, Dauntsey's School, Devizes SN10 4HE, in the Wiltshire countryside, with 150 acres of grounds around it. Weeks run Sunday to Sunday, so arrivals and departures both fall on a Sunday. · XUK Excel Camp, Dauntsey's School, Dauntsey School, Devizes SN10 4HE, United Kingdom

Train station

London St Pancras

Pickup service · For campers arriving by Eurostar or long-distance train, XUK operates a St Pancras Service where staff meet children at the London station and accompany them to camp in Wiltshire. It costs £99 each way and, as with the airport service, arriving close to XUK's recommended times keeps things simple and best value. This transfer is one of the options covered by the Gold and Platinum packages, at a specific arrival time.
