Spend your summer learning English, making international friends and enjoying life at Clifton College, one of Bristol’s most distinctive historic boarding-school campuses. British Learning Academy combines practical English lessons with supervised activities, cultural visits and a welcoming residential community. Students live in Clifton College boarding houses, mostly in single and twin rooms with shared bathrooms. Classrooms, the dining hall, common rooms, sports facilities and The Close playing fields are all close by. Full board, study materials, an end-of-course certificate, afternoon and evening activities, one full-day excursion and two half-day excursions each week are included. Visits may include Bath, Cardiff, London and Bristol; timetables vary. Summer 2027: 12 July to 30 August. Ages 11–17; 18-year-olds may join as part of a group. General English includes 15 hours of tuition and costs £1,085 per student for 7 nights / 8 days. English & Life Skills offers 20 hours for £1,125 per week, subject to course availability. Airport transfers are extra. Sunday 11 July arrivals can be arranged on request. Lessons are interactive, with a pre-arrival placement test and a maximum of 15 students per class. Swimming, tennis, team games, creative activities and social evenings help students use English beyond the classroom. Staff have enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training, with staff on call 24 hours a day. A 20% deposit confirms your place; the balance is due four weeks before arrival.
