TECHCAMP, is a unique summer school designed for high school students passionate about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). It offers intensive, hands-on courses with a focus on cutting-edge technologies, delivered by professors, researchers, and PhD students from Politecnico di Milano, the most important technical university in Italy. The program is conducted entirely in English and takes place across various campuses, providing students with a rich academic and social experience. Who Can Attend: TECHCAMP is open to high school students who have completed at least the second year of secondary school. Some courses are available for first-year students in four-year study programs. Course Options: Students can choose from a variety of courses, including: - Digital Heritage Lab: Applied technologies for cultural heritage documentation - AI Bootcamp: a gentle introduction to AI - Cybersecurity & Hacking - Green Energy: pillars and dreams - Sports Engineering and Human Performance - Python: A Language for World Inventors - Race Car Dynamics - Robotics: the art of intelligent motion - Intelligent and Autonomous Vehicles - Design-driven creativity with AI - The Mathematics of GPS Maximum number of students per course: 35 Maximum number of students for TechCamp: 500 Course Duration: Courses are one week long, from Monday to Friday, held in June 2025, with multiple start dates: • June 15-19 • June 22-26 Each course runs on one of the start dates listed above. Location: The program takes place at the renowned Politecnico di Milano campuses in Milano (Città Studi, & Camp Bovisa), and Lecco campus (close to Como lake). TECH CAMP is a one-week summer school in which each student follows a single chosen course from a menu of eleven STEM subjects spanning coding, robotics, mobility, cybersecurity, green energy, artificial intelligence, sport engineering, architecture, design and mathematics, all taught in English. The rhythm of the week is the same whichever course your child picks: mornings in the classroom with the professors building the theory, afternoons in the laboratory turning that theory into something that works. Students are placed in small groups and supervised by at least two professors during the practical sessions, and part of each afternoon is set aside for preparing a scientific presentation of the group's work. Monday opens with a joint welcome session covering all the logistics of the week, and Friday closes with the groups presenting their projects publicly, course by course, followed by a collective diploma awards ceremony. Because everything is designed and delivered by Politecnico di Milano faculty, researchers and PhD students, the programme also deliberately trains soft skills — teamwork and speaking about technical results in English — rather than aiming only at the subject content.

The timetable protects a full hour from 12:30 to 13:30 as a lunch break, and students head out to the many bars and restaurants in the streets around the campus before returning for the afternoon laboratory session, so families should plan a daily lunch budget or a packed lunch.

Here are the key points: Usage During Sessions: Mobile phones must be turned off or set to silent mode during all sessions and activities. Using phones for calls, texting, or browsing during sessions is strictly prohibited. Breaks and Lunch Periods: Participants are allowed to use their mobile phones during breaks and lunch periods. However, it is important to be mindful of others and avoid disruptive behavior. Emergency Use: In case of emergencies, participants can use their mobile phones, but they should inform a staff member immediately. Respect and Privacy: Participants should respect the privacy of others and avoid taking photos or videos without permission. Students spend the week inside a working technical university rather than a purpose-built camp site. Most courses are based at Campus Milano Città Studi, the historic Leonardo campus area in the lively Città Studi district, just 200 metres from the metro station and directly opposite the Politecnico di Milano, a campus noted for the quality of its services and its attention to architecture and building sustainability. Race Car Dynamics, Green Energy and Design-Driven Creativity with AI run at Campus Milano Bovisa, about thirty minutes away by public transport in a young, university-dominated part of the city. The Sport Engineering and Human Performance course takes place at the Lecco territorial hub on Lake Como, an Anglo-Saxon-style campus of 47,000 m² with modern teaching rooms, research laboratories, the Human Performance Lab and the 'Adolf Loos' university residence for out-of-town and international students.
