Surval’s Summer Camp runs for a total of 6 weeks with campers joining for a minimum of 2 weeks. The Summer Camp gives girls an unforgettable experience with age-appropriate programmes for Senior campers (aged 13-16) and Junior campers (aged 10-12), all housed within our stunning campus. Surval Summer Camp promises an action-packed Swiss summer adventure blending language learning with exploration and discovery. Junior Campers join in on an “Adventure Camp” and an “Art Camp” on rotation with a blend of activities while Senior Campers may tailor make their own holiday, choosing from different themes, giving them greater independence. Campers have daily lessons of French or English and the option to sign up for Weekend Trips to Europa Park, one of Europe’s largest amusement parks, or to Zermatt for a Swiss-Alpine experience at the Matterhorn. Surval Summer Camp follows a clear rhythm: mornings belong to language study, afternoons and weekends to activities, trips and time with new friends. Girls choose intensive French, English or Spanish and work in small classes of eight to twelve students, averaging around eight hours of lessons a week, with interactive teaching built on role play, music, films and games rather than textbooks alone; private lessons can be added on request. Afternoons then rotate through water sports on Lac Leman, mountain sports and adventure, and the creative Savoir Vivre strand of culinary arts, etiquette and culture, so a girl tries many things across a stay of two to six weeks instead of specialising in one. Everything is organised in three age bands — Minis of 9 to 11, Juniors of 12 to 15 and Seniors of 16 to 18 — which keeps sessions age-appropriate and helps friendships form quickly. What shapes the whole experience is that this is an all-girls boarding school opening its own home for the summer: the same experienced educators and boarding staff, rooms shared with girls of other nationalities, and the language being lived at meals and on excursions as much as in class.

Surval Summer Camp was the best experience. It’s internationally friendly and has a lot of girls from other countries sharing their cultural experiences. It is a really great way to gain independence and meet new friends from across the globe... I hope to come back again.

Campers are looked after by experienced educators and boarding professionals from the school's own residential team, who are on hand 24 hours a day so each girl feels safe, supported and included. Rooming is arranged by age and nationality, and the staff list includes a resident nurse/housemother alongside housemistress and boarding assistants.

At Surval, there are 4 different boarding floors all located within the same securedbuilding. Rooms are shared between 3 to 4 girls with each room having an ensuitebathroom. All rooms have a stunning view of the lake and are well looked after byour house staff with daily cleaning.The boarding floors are organised by age, with different rules for different ages.Boarding staff members are located on each floor to ensure the safety of allcampers.The top floor of the house is our “school” floor on which all classrooms are located.Classrooms welcome a maximum of 10 students making learning at Surval a verybeneficial and tailored experience, even during our Summer Camp.The ground floor hosts our Library and Common Room as well as our Dining Hallwhere all meals are served. We are able to tailor our food offerings to meet anydietary requirements. The Library and Common Room are used in the evenings foractivities and fun times where girls bond with each other.Additional spaces in the building are the Art Room, the Student Kitchen, the GamesRoom, the Gym and the Dance Studio.Access to all buildings are coded or require a key to ensure safety of the girls.

Geneva Airport
Pickup service · Geneva Airport is the usual arrival point for girls flying in from abroad, and Surval staff arrange the onward transfer up to Montreux so that no one travels the last stretch alone. Arrivals are on Sundays between 10h00 and 16h00, and departures on Saturdays between 9h00 and 12h00, so flights should be booked to land and take off inside those windows. Send flight details to the camps office in advance so the meeting arrangements at the airport can be confirmed before travel.

Families driving their daughter to camp come straight up the hillside above Lake Geneva to Surval Montreux, Rte de Glion 56, 1820 Montreux. Drop-off is on Sundays between 10h00 and 16h00, when boarding staff are on hand to welcome each girl, show her to her room and meet parents; collection at the end of a stay is on Saturdays between 9h00 and 12h00. Montreux itself is easy to reach from across Switzerland, with direct rail links from Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich, Bern and Basel for families combining train and taxi.
