The day has a clear and reassuring shape: Mandarin in the morning, culture in the afternoon. From 9:00 to 11:50 children work in small groups of up to eight, placed both by age band - 9 to 12, 12 to 15, 15 to 17 - and by level as beginner, intermediate or advanced, with a fixed teacher who stays with them for the whole session. After the lunch break the groups widen to around fifteen students for a cultural activity, workshop or local visit, so the language practised in class is immediately put to use in a kitchen, a studio or a metro carriage. Two-week sessions follow themes, Modern Shanghai in week one and Historic Shanghai in week two, which gives the outings and workshops a logic instead of feeling like a string of unrelated afternoons. Families choose between the half-day Academic Chinese Booster for children who want the language work alone, and the full-day Chinese Cultural Adventure that combines lessons with the activity programme. Throughout, teachers and peers from more than thirty countries speak Chinese with the children outside the textbook, which is what makes progress feel quick and natural.

On the full-day Chinese Cultural Adventure the midday break from 12:00 to 13:00 gives children time to eat together and switch off before the afternoon activity, and lunch plus snacks are part of the fee. Families choosing the half-day Academic Chinese Booster get snacks during the morning of Chinese lessons and collect their child at noon for lunch.

Pickup service · Pudong is the long-haul gateway most visiting families arrive through, and GoEast's team coordinates airport transfer support for camp families so arrival and departure are organised before you fly. Send your flight details to your camp advisor when you enrol, and the transfer can be arranged together with accommodation suggestions in the Zhongshan Park area. From the city side the campus is easy to reach on public transport, sitting within walking distance of a metro station served by Lines 2, 3 and 4. Children attend by day only, so families or local guardians handle the daily drop-off and pick-up once you are settled in Shanghai.

Families driving or taking a taxi drop off at the GoEast campus in the Zhongshan Park area of Shanghai before the 9:00 start of morning Chinese class. Pick-up is at 12:00 for the half-day Academic Chinese Booster and from 16:00 for the full-day Chinese Cultural Adventure, with a few afternoon outings running until about 16:30 - the camp team lets parents know in advance when that applies. Children may also be dropped off and collected by a nominated local guardian if parents are not in Shanghai for the whole camp period.

The Zhongshan Park campus was chosen partly for how easy it is to reach: metro Lines 2, 3 and 4 are all within walking distance, so families staying anywhere along those lines can bring their child in without a car. Restaurants, shops and hotels from budget to high-end are close by, which makes the morning drop-off and the afternoon pick-up simple to fit around parents' own plans in the city. Children arrive for a 9:00 start and are collected after the programme ends at 16:00 on the full-day track, or at 12:00 on the half-day track.
