This is a residential multi-activity camp for 10 to 17 year olds, run for either five or seven days at Ireland's leading adventure resort in the Delphi valley. Campers are grouped with a camp instructor who stays with them through the week, and the days are built as a rotation through the resort's land, ropes and water programmes, so a morning on the high ropes or boulder wall might be followed by an afternoon paddling the Killary Fjord or sliding through the bog obstacle course. Everything is included in the one fee, from activities and equipment to full board and evening entertainment, which means children simply move from one session to the next without anything extra to arrange. Older groups have the extra reach of activities with higher age limits, such as the sea kayaking journey and combat archery, and multi-activity campers can head out on an overnight expedition. Staff deliberately keep the first days busy and phone-free-ish so that homesick nerves settle quickly, with parents encouraged to call within set windows rather than in the first evenings.

Safety is of paramount importance to us at Delphi Resort. All of our instructors are Garda vetted, have completed Tusla’s Children First programme and are qualified in Outdoor First Aid Remote Emergency Care Level 3. We follow strict safety procedures ensuring compliance with applicable laws and equipment supplier standards.

Snacks are provided daily alongside the three main meals.
Meals are cooked in-house and the menu changes through the week so that nothing becomes repetitive, with the kitchen keeping an eye on giving children a balanced plate after long days outdoors. Three meals a day plus snacks are part of the camp fee, and a sample menu is set out in the Parents' Guide. Any dietary requirement can be looked after when the team is told in advance, so it is worth flagging allergies or special diets on the booking form.

At Delphi Resort the safety and wellbeing of our clients is paramount. With this in mind, we have established a mobile device policy for students visiting the centre for both security and child protection reasons. All mobile devices including phones, tablets, games consoles, e-readers and other electronic devices are covered by this mobile device policy. By setting explicit and acceptable mobile user standards, this mobile device policy seeks to both facilitate users’ enjoyment of their stay at Delphi Resort and give them the ability to use their devices in a safe and appropriate manner. Mobile or smart phones are known to pose the greatest risk when it comes to their photographic and video features. These are most prone to abuse, mostly through exploitation, bullying and the collection and dissemination of offensive photographs and videos. We acknowledge that most children live with smartphones daily and that these devices can be a big part of making students feel comfortable, protected, and connected. Opened in 2018, the Wild Atlantic Hostel is the perfect Connemara getaway for anyone seeking low cost and value for money accommodation. There is something unique about the Wild Atlantic Hostel that separates it from the rest – as it is set on the grounds of Delphi Resort, visitors to the Wild Atlantic Hostel have the option to avail of the resort’s Adventure, Dining facilities – A perfect base for our multi activity campers to feel at home and rested ready for their action packed Summer Camp itinerary. The unique location of the Wild Atlantic where the sea and the land meet to form the most spectacular coastline in Ireland, along the Wild Atlantic Way. The hostel consists of dorm-style ensuite rooms and is located onsite at the resort.

Families driving bring their child directly to Delphi Resort, Leenane, Connemara, Co Galway (H91DP08) in the Delphi valley. Drop-off is after 5pm on the first day of camp, and collection is at approximately 5pm on the final day. · Delphi Resort, Leenane, Connemara, Co Galway, Ireland, H91DP08
Train station

Pickup service · An optional return minibus transfer links Westport Train Station with the resort for both 5-day and 7-day campers. On Sunday arrivals the transfer leaves Westport at 17:10, timed to connect with the 13:40 service from Dublin Heuston, where a member of the Delphi Resort team meets campers and brings them straight to the resort; children remain in their parents' care during the train journey until they join the transfer at Westport. At the end of camp the team accompanies campers back to the station and helps them before departure, with drop-off at 18:00 on Friday for the 18:30 train to Dublin Heuston for 5-day camps and at 13:00 on Sunday for the 13:20 train for 7-day camps. Spaces are limited, so a place needs to be reserved in advance, and train tickets are booked separately by parents.
