Welcome to St Peter's International School summer camp in Portugal. We have the perfect programme for children aged 12 to 17 seeking an adventurous summer. The school is ideally located between the coast and the mountains to provide us with a perfect area to explore and make memories. Participants can expect 2 weeks of inland and water sports and activities full of fun, adventure, and culture, including a 2 day-trip to the Algarve in southern Portugal and surfing in Ericeira, the only World Surf Reserve in Europe. If Surfing is your next passion, then you can also bolt on our 1 week surf camp where participants will take 2 surf lessons per day and stay in accomodation next to the beach! Thanks to our first-class, boutique-style onsite boarding residence, our camps offer both day and residential options. The activities focus on the Portuguese coast and will take participants to visit some of the country's most iconic castles and palaces. Our programme is designed to challenge students and let them be inspired by the Portuguese sailors’ courage, bravery and confidence while creating life-long memories. 1 – Discover Portugal – This is a 2 week camp with a rich program of multi activities and cultural visits to discover the best of what Portugal offers. The camps are 2 weeks, running from Sunday – Saturday. 2- Surf Week – This camp is 1 week long and dedicated to Surfing for the entire week. ‘EAT, SLEEP, SURF REPEAT’. Portugal is well known for Surfing and this camp will allow for good progression over the week intensive course. This course finishes in alignment with the start of the Discover Portugal session 2, so you have the opportunity to have a 1 week surf camp plus 2 weeks of ‘Discover Portugal’. Dates: - Session 1 - 30th June-13th July - Surf Week S1 - 7th - 13th July - Session 2 - 14th- 27th July Options: - Discover Portugal through action-packed Adventure, Watersports and Culture. - Weekend Trips in the Algarve, Surf at one of the only Surf reserves in the world - Abseil the highest sea cliffs in Europe, Sail traditional yachts and watch dolphins in the wild - 1 Week Surf Camp - Beautiful beach side chalets - Eat, surf, sleep, repeat. Yoga, wellness. Cost for 2 weeks: - Residential Camp €3500 - Day Camp - €2,200 (Includes Algarve Mid weekend trip) 1 Week Surf Camp - €1650

The Summer Fun programme is built as a moving week rather than a timetable of electives: children arrive at the St. Peter's campus in Palmela on Monday, Tuesday and Friday and set off from there for a different coastal destination each day, then travel together on Wednesday for a two-day residential stay in the south of Portugal before returning on Thursday. Because the group stays together, the same staff accompany campers from the school gate to the beach and back, which suits children who are away from home for the first time. Each day has one clear headline experience — an Atlantic surf session, a boat ride, a water park, a beach games afternoon, a pool party at sunset — so the rhythm is one big adventure followed by time to swap stories. The programme is offered as two separate week-long sessions and is open both to St. Peter's own pupils and to visiting families, which makes the mix of children genuinely international. The emphasis throughout is on confidence, friendship and outdoor play in the sea and sun, with the reassurance of an established school's staff and campus behind it.
