Welcome to RV Golf Schools. Established in 2018 by Rick Valentine, our golf camps have been the cornerstone for junior golfers seeking not just improvement but a holistic and empowering camp experience. Since the inception of his first camp in 2003, Rick has honed a distinctive camp philosophy. This philosophy not only develops golfing skills but also instills a sense of empowerment in our junior golfers. To date, over 1,500 enthusiastic golfers have joined Rick on this journey, testifying to the impact of his unparalleled coaching methods and the unique atmosphere he creates. At RV Golf Schools, we go beyond traditional golf instruction. We are committed to fostering a community where passion for the sport converges with personalised mentorship, creating an environment where every golfer can thrive. We are excited to bring our London Camp to life in 2026, with golf coaching based at the outstanding Wellington College, offering world-class facilities in a beautiful and inspiring setting. The London Camp runs from 19th July – 1st August and provides junior golfers with expert coaching, great fun, and lasting friendships. In addition to our London Camp, we also have two weeks in St Andrews from 5th – 18th July and one week at Dollar Academy from 2nd – 8th August. It is possible to combine multiple weeks across different venues, and our team will arrange and manage all transfers between camps to make the experience seamless.

The week follows a simple, purposeful rhythm: campers arrive on the Sunday, and from Monday the mornings belong to a three-hour coaching and practice block on the range and short-game areas, while the afternoons are spent out on a golf course playing a full round, before dinner and a relaxed evening activity back at the boarding house. Players are placed by age and ability rather than mixed at random, with the Development group for the youngest, the Ultimate Camp coaching in groups of no more than eight, and the High Performance Camp working in fours with one-to-one time and higher-ranked courses, so the standard of the coaching always matches the standard of the player. Those coaching groups deliberately combine in the afternoon on the course, which is how golfers from different ages and countries end up playing together and becoming friends. Alongside the professionals, a pastoral team looks after everyone in house, and each child knows their allocated primary carer, so the golf can be intensive while the week itself feels like a holiday. Camps finish at lunchtime on the Saturday, and golfers staying on for another week have Saturday afternoon activities and a sightseeing day before the next venue.

Residential places are full board, so every meal of your child's day is taken care of. Breakfast is served in the boarding house at the start of the morning, before the three-hour coaching and practice block, and lunch follows before the group heads out to the golf course for the afternoon round. Everyone returns to the accommodation for dinner together, which naturally rolls into the evening activities. A camp shop is on hand for drinks, snacks and golf balls, and parents can prepay credit so their golfer carries less cash.
Screen time policy
Days here are full, so we ask families to save calls and messages for the evening whenever possible, when your golfer has time to talk properly about the round they have just played. To protect a good night's sleep before an early start, mobile phones are collected each evening and lights go off at 10pm. WiFi is available throughout the boarding houses, and every child is given a 24-hour mobile number for their allocated primary carer, while parents have a 24-hour emergency contact number and direct access to the Camp Director.

We are very excited to be re-launching our London Camp in 2026, with coaching and golf based at the outstanding Wellington College. Wellington College is one of the UK’s leading independent schools, offering world-class golf facilities and access to excellent nearby courses. Pupils will stay in comfortable nearby accommodation and have space to relax when not on the golf course, as well as participate in evening activities. Breakfast and dinner are provided at the accommodation, with a packed lunch provided to enjoy on the golf course. We also run a tuck shop offering drinks and snacks..

Parents are very welcome to drive their child to camp themselves. Camps begin on a Sunday arrival day and finish at lunchtime on the Saturday; published arrival times are sent out ahead of the week, and a member of the camp team will meet you at the accommodation to welcome you and help your golfer settle in.
