Nike Tennis Camp at Vail Racquet Club

This is a half-day tennis camp that runs Monday through Thursday, with everyone arriving at 11:30am and heading home at 2:30pm, so mornings stay free for family time in the mountains. The rhythm of each afternoon is straightforward and purposeful: focused instruction on stroke technique and game strategy, competitive drills that build on it, then match play where campers use what they have just been shown. Placement is the backbone of the programme — staff assess every participant on the first day and group players by ability and then age, moving individuals between groups during the week as they improve. Coaches take part in the activities rather than watching from the fence, and the small group sizes mean each camper gets real feedback on their game. It is a coed programme open to boys and girls from ages 6 to 17 at every level, from children picking up a racquet for the first time to tournament players, and the mountain-valley setting of the Vail Racquet Club gives the whole week a distinctly relaxed, outdoor feel.
