ISC builds its Madrid programme around four pillars — Spanish language, sport, culture and leisure — so a fortnight here is a steady rhythm rather than a free-for-all. Mornings are given to Spanish, roughly twenty hours a week of lessons with students grouped by level so nobody is out of their depth, and afternoons switch to sport and activity sessions of about twelve hours a week. Evenings belong to leisure: after dinner the group heads out for cultural and city outings or gathers for organised games and social activities before the day closes. Because ISC's summers draw teenagers from dozens of countries, Spanish quickly becomes the shared language of the group, in class and just as much between classes. Everything from lessons and meals to activities and outings is arranged by the ISC team, so campers and their families only have to think about turning up and joining in.

Getting your child there
Aeropuerto Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas
Pickup service · Campers travelling to the Madrid camp fly into Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, where the ISC team handles the arrival and the onward transfer to the student residence. Families are asked to send their child's flight details at least two weeks before departure so the staff can follow the flight on the airport's own website and be there at the right moment. If a flight is delayed there is no need to worry: the team waits for arriving students however late they land, and the same care applies to the return journey at the end of the stay.
