2) Nurturing Growth with Empathy: Our camp is a 'home away from home,' where children thrive in a loving and accepting atmosphere. Guided by caring staff, campers are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones and embrace new challenges. Immersed in English, they gain resilience, self-confidence, and essential life skills, leaving them happier and more prepared for the future.
3) Unplugged Outdoor Adventures: Dive into an electronic-free adventure packed with activities like rafting, stand-up paddling, paintball, zip lining, and more. Our outdoor experiences not only keep campers engaged away from screens but also promote mental well-being, guided by our expert staff.
4) Personalized Attention: With age-specific groups of around 10 children, Explorer Camps offer personalized and immersive experiences. From Discoverers (ages 6-9) to Pathfinders (15+), each group enjoys tailored activities that strengthen friendships and ensure unforgettable memories for every camper.
5) Empowering Choices: Campers design their own schedules, selecting activities that align with their interests and strengths. This freedom fosters independence, responsibility, and self-satisfaction, ensuring every child has a unique and fulfilling camp experience.

Q&A
DEDICATED LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION:
Each camp is overseen by a Camp Director, two Assistant Directors, and two First Aiders, with two staff members assigned to each group. The Director, an Assistant Director, and a First Aider are always available to monitor staff, offering guidance and assistance as needed. Each group consists of 10-12 campers, ensuring a minimum 6:1 camper-to-staff ratio for attentive supervision. For white water activities, the ratio improves to 3:1, and on-site activities maintain a 4:1 ratio, providing exceptional care and safety for all campers.
All staff have background checks which includes reference checks and interviews. It’s mandatory to provide a clean criminal check also.
All staff go through the following steps: * Access to camp library which includes Counselor Manual, Risk Management Manual. * Each staff member completes 5 x 90 min workshops * Each staff member attends two live trainings * Each staff member does 1st Aid training
Central to Explorer Camp’s approach is to ensure all campers develop a sense of belonging amongst our campers. We do this by communicating our Explorer Finger Values of: * Safety * Respect * Adventure * Honesty * Care By living by these values, we encourage a more empathetic and accepting environment which welcomes children from all around the world.
In order to be formally accepted to camp, both parents and children have to read, accept and sign our Behaviour Policy which outlines our Code of Conduct. It contains our vision for supporting campers with their behaviour and attempting to help them learn from their mistakes, while providing clear boundaries and consequences.
All phones will be taken off children on the opening day, and returned on the final day. Those staying for two or three weeks will have the opportunity to use their phones for a short period on the Saturday.

Really great place. Our kids like this camp a lot! We have visited it last summer and have booked 2 weeks already for this summer vacations.
Looking forward to see everyone soon!
We live in France and were a bit anxious about sending our son alone in Slovenia but Steve reinsured us all along the process so that we left our son with no stress. He came back after 2 weeks so happy that we would recommend Explorer Camp to anyone. He made very good friends, loved the environment in Velenje and all the teams. He felt safe everytime.
Explorer Camp is fantastic! My children absolutely loved their experience there. The staff are truly wonderful—they create a welcoming, safe, and fun environment for all the kids. The activities were engaging, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure every child felt included. Highly recommend this camp!
