  1. My daughter Vittoria has joined Explorer Kids’ Camp since the very beginning and she always loved it! The staff is amazing, they offer a range of great outdoor activities divided per age. If horse riding, swimming, climbing, biking or hiking don’t suit your kid, they organize also painting, cooking or handcrafting afternoons. The accommodation is very good and they also provide healthy meals. What I really appreciate is the care they all put into giving the kids a great experience, helping them grow independent and giving them good values. I would recommend this camp to parents, no doubt!

So many memories, activities, experiences, worm emotions, new skills… And they want to come back there every summer. I deeply recommend this camp. Best of the best.

  3. Explorer International Camp has changed my daughter’s life for the best, definitely! She has been there 3 times and it helped her to impove English, find friends all I’ve the world, experience rafting, hiking, tubing and a lot of other outdoor activities. And all these in magnificent mountains surrounding. Special thank you goes to camp staff as they are so interested and involved into children’s lives. Great place to go for unforgettable memories!

  4. The Slovenian Summer Kids camp it has been an amazing experience for our son and for us. They have given them the confidence to meet new kids, communicate in a foreign language, and get trust on themselves, and all these in a very comfortable family environment.
Besides the English skills, socializing and the family feeling, which were very important for us, the way they make the kids be part of the camp, giving them the opportunity to choose and decide, were very important for our son. Next year he wants to be back.

  5. “My two eldest sons went aged 15 and 17 years old. This is a challenging age for them with too much technology time and not enough quality time BUT this camp was exactly that. Lots and lots of healthy interaction, socializing, team building, leadership and personal building experiences. Highly recommend it. I come from a religious background where moral values are very important and I felt this camp truly portrayed this.”

EXPERT CARE AND SAFETY: Our staff is fully trained in both First Aid and Mental Health, ensuring they are ready for any situation. Led by our Camp Director, a certified First Aid and Mental Health instructor, we prioritize the emotional, physical, and mental well-being of all campers. Each camp has two dedicated First Aiders, with one always on duty at our well-equipped Medical Centre. This ensures the best possible care for our Explorer family. Additionally, a health center is just a four-minute drive away for any further needs.

DEDICATED LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION:
Each camp is overseen by a Camp Director, two Assistant Directors, and two First Aiders, with two staff members assigned to each group. The Director, an Assistant Director, and a First Aider are always available to monitor staff, offering guidance and assistance as needed. Each group consists of 10-12 campers, ensuring a minimum 6:1 camper-to-staff ratio for attentive supervision. For white water activities, the ratio improves to 3:1, and on-site activities maintain a 4:1 ratio, providing exceptional care and safety for all campers.

The camp still needs to provide this information. Please get in touch with them through this page to request more info.

All staff have background checks which includes reference checks and interviews. It’s mandatory to provide a clean criminal check also.

All staff go through the following steps:  * Access to camp library which includes Counselor Manual, Risk Management Manual.  * Each staff member completes 5 x 90 min workshops * Each staff member attends two live trainings * Each staff member does 1st Aid training

Central to Explorer Camp’s approach is to ensure all campers develop a sense of belonging amongst our campers. We do this by communicating our Explorer Finger Values of:  * Safety * Respect * Adventure * Honesty * Care By living by these values, we encourage a more empathetic and accepting environment which welcomes children from all around the world.

In order to be formally accepted to camp, both parents and children have to read, accept and sign our Behaviour Policy which outlines our Code of Conduct. It contains our vision for supporting campers with their behaviour and attempting to help them learn from their mistakes, while providing clear boundaries and consequences.

All phones will be taken off children on the opening day, and returned on the final day.  Those staying for two or three weeks will have the opportunity to use their phones for a short period on the Saturday.
