Residential Spanish camp in Málaga, Spain

Day camp for teens (13–18) designed for real Spanish immersion in a safe, friendly and inspiring environment by the sea in Málaga. Teens enjoy dynamic daily classes taught by native, qualified teachers who specialise in working with young learners. Lessons are interactive, fun and adapted to teenagers’ interests and levels, so they learn naturally through conversation, games, projects and real-life situations. Outside the classroom, students take part in exciting cultural, creative and sports activities every day — from beach games and workshops to visits around the city — giving them the chance to practise Spanish while having fun, gaining confidence, and making friends from around the world. On Saturdays, full-day excursions take them to nearby highlights such as charming coastal towns, historical sites or natural landscapes, allowing them to discover the best of southern Spain and Andalusian culture. Optional accommodation in host family: Students may stay with carefully selected Spanish host families, who provide a warm and welcoming environment and help them practise Spanish in everyday situations. it offers a true cultural immersion experience. Our school is located in a quiet and safe residential area, just 10 minutes from Malaga’s historic centre and only 1 minute from the beach, providing the perfect setting for teenagers to learn, explore and feel at ease.

The Junior programme is built around a simple, dependable rhythm: four Spanish lessons of 50 minutes each day, then a supervised afternoon of activities, and one full-day excursion each week. Mornings in class are deliberately teen-shaped, with interactive lessons and digital materials built around the topics 13 to 18 year olds actually talk about — friendships, hobbies, music, sports, daily life and cultural identity — so that speaking practice feels natural rather than academic. Afternoons carry the same language into real use through sports and outdoor sessions, workshops and cultural visits around Málaga, where teenagers order, ask, negotiate and joke in Spanish without noticing they are still learning. Groups are small and international, so alongside progressing from A1 to B2 your child is practising with peers from other countries, which the school pairs with an explicit focus on respect, tolerance and intercultural understanding. Because families can book from one to five consecutive weeks, the programme is designed to work as a short summer taste of Spain or as a month-long immersion, always with teachers present and the day clearly framed from start to finish.

Mi hijo acaba de participar en las dos semanas del Junior Program organizado por la Escuela Internacional Cervantes de Málaga. Ha sido una experiencia verdaderamente magnífica para él: ha practicado el español tanto en las clases de lengua como en todas las actividades de por la tarde y del sábado (el programa que nos habían enviado, súper variado, ha sido cumplido a rajatabla), le ha encantado el ambiente agradable, y ha hecho muchos amigos procedentes de diferentes países. También ha estado muy a gusto con la familia anfitriona. En fin, una organización excelente, gracias a la cual incluso quienes enviábamos al extranjero por primera vez a un hijo menor de edad, completmente solo, nos hemos sentido tranquilos en todo momento. Quiero destacar también la rapidez con la que han contestado a todos mis correos, tanto antes de realizar la reserva como durante la estancia. ¡Enhorabuena a todo el equipo!

Teenagers are looked after from the first lesson of the morning to the end of the afternoon programme, with teachers accompanying the group through activities, workshops and the weekly excursion rather than simply handing them over at the classroom door. The school describes the programme as deliberately structured and well organised so that parents know where their child is and what they are doing at each point of the day, and a 24-hour emergency contact is available throughout the stay for families who need to reach someone quickly. Groups are kept small and international, which lets the teaching team keep a close eye on how each teenager is settling in socially as well as linguistically.
