Residential outdoor adventure camp in Zirconia, United States
Located in the Mountains of Western North Carolina for 80 years, we emphasize outdoor activities such as horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, mountain biking, and rock climbing. We believe in fun, adventure, safety, and great instruction. Our program is non-competitive, which encourages experimentation, and non-regimented, which fosters self-direction. Our strengths lie in the quality of our staff and the depth of our program. We value diversity, attracting campers from all 50 states and several other countries. Our goal is to build self-esteem while teaching community living skills, respect for the environment and a love for the outdoors.

Girls sleep away camp with waterfront sports, overnight trips, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and the usual arts and crafts and stuff like that. It’s a very caring environment that fosters independence, through choice, goal setting and skills development. We are very happy with the experiences our cold has had there this summer.

I attended this camp for 4 years from age 10 to 14. I’m now 24 and I can say without a doubt this camp was the best thing I ever did during my adolescence. The values, life skills, and confidence I gained are priceless. When I have my own children one day they will 100% be attending Green Cove/ Mondamin! Cannot put my admiration for this place in words- such a special place in my heart forever.
