Each summer camp is overseen by a dedicated camp director, who ensures the smooth operation and safety of the program. The director is supported by a team of experienced counselor, all of whom are native English speakers and trained to provide guidance, supervision, and a fun, enriching experience for campers.
Each of our three camp locations features a distinct security and supervision structure, tailored to the specific needs of the site. All accommodations are private and secure, ensuring campers’ safety and comfort throughout their stay. From organized activities to free time, staff maintain consistent oversight, creating a safe and supportive environment for every camper.
Our staff members are highly qualified and carefully selected to provide the best possible experience for our campers. All staff are native English speakers with extensive experience working with children and in camp settings. They are passionate travelers and share a strong commitment to international education. Many have teaching experience, enhancing their ability to engage and inspire campers.
Additionally, our staff hold certifications in safety skills to ensure a secure environment. For specialized programs, we recruit staff with relevant expertise:
– For Sea Quest, we employ experienced sailors skilled in maritime activities.
– For Outdoor Exploration, staff are trained in outdoor and survival skills to lead campers confidently in wilderness settings.
This combination of expertise and enthusiasm ensures a safe, enriching, and unforgettable camp experience.
Staff training and professional development are key priorities at Alphabet International Camps. Training is overseen by the two founders of Alphabet and the experienced camp directors, many of whom have been part of the team for years.
The process begins with pre-camp training, where staff are prepared with the skills and knowledge needed to provide a safe, engaging, and educational experience. Upon arrival at the camp location, training continues on-site before the summer session begins, ensuring that all team members are fully equipped to handle their responsibilities and maintain the camp’s high standards.
This comprehensive approach ensures that staff are not only well-prepared but continually supported in their professional growth throughout their time at camp.
At Alphabet International Camps, we are incredibly fortunate to welcome campers from all over the world each summer. The diversity of our campers is at the heart of what makes Alphabet such a special and unique place.
From the moment they arrive, campers are introduced to an immersive, inclusive, and safe environment where they are encouraged to celebrate their differences and embrace new friendships. We strive to create a space where every camper feels valued, respected, and part of the magic of camp, fostering a community that thrives on mutual understanding and cultural exchange.
Code of Conduct1. Be kind, honest, and respectful to others. – No bullying, teasing, or physical violence (zero-tolerance policy). 2. Respect property of the camp, campers, and staff. 3. Use appropriate conduct and language at all times. 4. Follow camp boundaries, including no unaccompanied access to the swimming pool.
Safety Protocols- Campers are always supervised and remain in groups. – Activities like rock wall climbing, caving, and sailing are led by trained and experienced partners. – Staff are CPR-trained, with on-site first aid facilities and emergency transportation available. – A physician is on call, and hospitals are within 30 minutes of all camp locations. – Parents are informed of any illness or injury requiring more than basic care.
•Outdoor Exploration: Campers’ phones are kept at the Phone-Station at all times except during call times on Tuesdays at 2 pm and Thursdays at 6pm.
•Sea Quest: Campers are required to leave phones in their cabins, except call times on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2 pm, and when on land visiting the islands.
•Alphabet City: Campers are permitted to carry phones during excursions but must turn them off during cultural visits, classes, mealtime, or whenever instructed by an Alphabet counselor.

My daughter came back very enthusiastic. This experience has allowed her to grow in independence, self-confidence and English. She also had a lot of fun. See you next year!
Giulia went to camp for the first time this summer. She came back enriched by her wonderful experience: she cried with nostalgia because she missed her friends and camp counselors so much. She studied English with constancy, had fun, was able to understand what it means to be part of a team, and develop new friendships. All in a spectacular environment, at a beautiful structure, surrounded by untouched nature. Lots of English, great food, lots of sports, nature and fun. Thanks Philip, thanks guys, see you next year!
My son is a veteran…this is his fourth year… minimum two weeks and he is never tired of it!!! Thanks summer camp! And thanks to the whole staff… a special thanks to Sean and Stiles!!!
I wanted to let you know that the week at camp for Silvia and Ettore was a highly formative experience. In their own ways, both have come back with great memories. A thank you to the Fun Leaders that were pleasant and engaging. Silvia said that she wants to live in America because “everything is nicer there” and Ettore said that “next year it’s obvious I’m going back to camp”.
Thanks for everything! Thanks again to the counselors and the whole staff. Giulio said that he had so much fun, ate wonderfully and learned so many new things. The teachers were super nice and always ready to help and the location was fantastic! Thanks!
