概要
Located in the mountains of western North Carolina for 102 years, we emphasize outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, mountain biking, rock climbing, and horseback riding. We believe in fun, adventure, safety, and great instruction. Our program is non-competitive, which encourages experimentation, and non-regimented, which fosters self-direction. Our strengths lie in the quality of our staff and the depth of our program. We value diversity, attracting campers from all 50 states and several other countries.

私たちのプログラムは構造化されていますが、統制されていません。キャンパーはセッションの一部をここキャンプで過ごし、セッションの一部を旅行で大自然の中で過ごします。キャンプ内アクティビティと同様に、初心者向けの旅と上級者向けの旅があり、誰もが宿泊キャンプを体験できます。各キャンパーの個人的な興味は、セッションのどれだけを旅行に費やすかに影響を与えます。 100 年以上にわたり、ベル家は若者向けのサマー キャンプ (男子はモンダミン、女子はグリーン コーブ) を運営してきました。私たちは、子供の教育の大部分は教室の外で行われると信じています。また、私たちは、若者には翼だけでなく根も必要であり、どちらか一方がなければあまり役に立たないと信じています。自尊心、独立した思考、自発性、家族以外の集団の中で機能する能力、生涯のスキル、生涯の友人…すべては教育的、成熟のプロセスにおいて非常に重要な要素です。これらはまさに、優れたキャンプが育む手助けとなるべきものです。家庭内の子供ではなく、キャンプコミュニティの住民になることは、貴重で満足のいく冒険となる可能性があります。

伝統的な素朴なキャンプ・キャビン。山々に囲まれた350エーカーの湖で、セイリングに適した風にも恵まれています。私たちはガールズキャンプのグリーンコーブと共有する約800エーカーの森林を所有し、何百平方マイルものピスガー国有林とスモーキーマウンテン国立公園に簡単にアクセスできます。

カウンセラー - ヘッド・カウンセラー - 3人のディレクター
すべてのカウンセラーは、応急手当とCPRのトレーニングを受けています。水辺のスタッフは全員、赤十字のライフガード・トレーニングを受けている必要があります。
夏休みの間、子どもの発達や活動スキルについて継続的なトレーニングを行っています。
私たちは、さまざまな経歴や地域出身のスタッフを積極的に採用しています。
誠実であること、互いに敬意をもって接することを含む名誉の掟があります。毎年夏には安全訓練と緊急訓練を行い、あらゆる状況に備えています。
キャンプ参加者は、携帯電話、タブレット、コンピューター、スマートウォッチなど、インターネットに接続された機器をキャンプに持ち込むことはできません。
My husband and his brother were campers and now my 2 boys are. My oldest (a 12 year old) has been a camper the last 5 years. My youngest (a 8 year old) son started last summer in the 5 day camp and will attend the 3 week camp this summer. Camp teaches them so much independence and self confidence. They have made friendships that I hope will last a lifetime! We’ve had multiple friends’ children attend as well and I love to see that they have the same feelings as our family. The staff and counselors are great role models! They truly bond with the campers. This place is magical!
Our kids love the independence, friends, and atmosphere. We enjoy the exposure to other outstanding kids and counselors. The traditions and activities in a wide array of outdoor arenas also add to the over all experience. Our kids are counting down the days until they go this year.
My 10 year old son attended a different camp the two summers prior. Camp Mondamin blew them away. The depth and diverse amount of the activities and his interest in them are a testament as to how great Mondamin is. My sister’s two sons attended and recommended. My son will be back next year and all the years to come.
