Summer Discovery’s programs are designed to accelerate college preparedness and balance immersive and fun academic programming with off campus travel adventures and city exploration. Summer Discovery and Summer Discovery Institute for the Gifted are the largest providers of pre-college, enrichment, and gifted summer programs and experiences for students spanning grades one through twelve. Summer Discovery offers students across the globe an unrivaled summer experience with access to world-class academics, interactive enrichment courses, travel adventures, and the ability to explore their interests and build essential life skills outside the classroom, with programming both on and off campus. With over 300 courses, 15 prestigious college campuses, and the most experienced, visionary, and talented leadership team in the pre-college field, Summer Discovery has successfully crafted best-in-class programs and curriculums enabling each student to customize their summer. Accommodation

Students are housed in university dorms, complete with state-of-the art access control and security systems. Students eat at the nearby university dining halls. Students are put into dorm rooms anywhere from singles to rooms with 2-4 students depending on the campus. Many (not all) dorms are air conditioned. All include full bathrooms including private showers and more.

Activities

Depending on the city the campus is located, our activities outside the classroom vary from on-campus activities such as silent disco, live band karaoke and performances from comedians, mentalists, magicians to off-campus activities like trips to the local beach, amusement parks, city highlights and hot spots, ball games, hikes, nature opportunities and more.

General areas of study include: Business & entrepreneurship, Computer science and technology, Engineering, Humanities, Law & Government, Medicine and Healthcare, Social Sciences, Sports Business, and STEAM

Language Lessons

Summer Discovery currently has Spanish and French language courses at Dartmouth campus location.

    Amy attended Summer Discovery in 1995 at UVM, where she studied art and physical education. Majoring in biology, she used art as an outlet during her pre-med track at Brown University. Amy went on to obtain her medical degree and become a Board Certified Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon and ophthalmologist. She now owns and runs her own practice in Jacksonville, Florida.

    Briana started as a SIG student in 5th grade, focusing on Biomedical Engineering and Law. After four years with SIG, she loved the program so much that she became a leader for SIG at Bryn Mawr College, Yale, & UCLA. Briana is currently pursuing her joint MBA/JD at Georgia State University, following her passion for education and Media & Entertainment Law.

    Following a memorable Summer Discovery experience at University of Michigan, Olivia majored in Psychology at Brown University and went on to obtain her PhD. She has since become a published author.
