Overview
Our award winning, all-inclusive summer school experience offers high school students aged 13 - 18 the opportunity to combine learning, creative enrichment and action-packed adventure at the world renowned universities of St Andrews, Cambridge and Yale.
Places from any one nationality are limited to 10% and native and non-native English speakers mixed at all times, we guarantee our students a truly international experience of a lifetime. We provide a well balanced and enriching summer programme where students from all over the world come together for 3 weeks to create an international family, choosing academic and elective classes to suit their needs and interests.
In addition to our exceptional academic and elective classes, all of our students will take part in our varied and exciting activities, clan events and cultural trips. Every event has been designed for our students to have fun, explore what the local area has to offer and get to know their fellow ISSOS students.
ISSOS is a constantly growing international family with students coming to our campuses from over 80 different nationalities around the world. We aim to deliver the highest quality programmes led by an inspirational team, creating an international family where friendships span the world and last long beyond the summer.
Accommodation
All of our students are housed in the University halls of residence, in an area exclusive to ISSOS, where the student groups are divided by gender and also by age range. Each student will be allocated a shared or single room. The majority of rooms in our accommodation are shared, but any students who require a single, or shared, room for medical reasons will be given priority when we allocate rooms.
All students in shared rooms will be sharing with someone of the same age and gender. Their roommate will be of a different nationality to them and they will not be sharing with someone they already know. We try to make sure that if a student is coming to ISSOS to improve their English that they are not in a room with someone that speaks their own language, which encourages them to speak English at all times and gives an even greater immersion experience.

Throughout the three-week programme, our students are well supervised at all times, from the moment we pick them up to the moment they leave our campuses. We give our students the freedom to explore their independence in a safe and secure environment, and all of our summer school staff pass the required legal background checks needed for working with young people.

The summers that I spent at ISSOS were the best summers of my life. I met incredible people that I’ll never forget. Every minute I spent at ISSOS was priceless and filled with joy, happiness and laughter, and I will forever be grateful to be part of the ISSOS family.
