The result of these efforts are high-quality language courses with individual support for each student. Located in one of the most beautiful areas in Europe right on the island of Lindau at Lake Constance Dialoge provides a perfect environment for studying a language whilst discovering Germany’s nature and the contiguous countries Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Accommodation

The summer school offers two types of accommodation. Home StayOur host families are located within a 10 - 30 minutes distance to the school and host our students in double or 3-bed rooms. They share breakfast and some lunches/dinners with their students according to the summer school's daily schedule. All families provide a clear criminal record and are evaluated on an annual base according to the quality standards of IALC and FDSV. Youth Guest HouseOur youth guest house is located within 15 minutes walking distance (4 minutes by bus; bus ticket included) to the school and offers double rooms. The small and cozy guest house serves breakfast and dinner while lunch is served at the school’s canteen according to the summer school’s daily schedule. The youth guest house meets all requirements according to the quality standards of IALC and FDSV.

The location allows us to arrange trips to Austria, Switzerland and other smaller and bigger cities in Germany.In addition, the visit of landmarks (e.g. the King's Castle in Neuschwanstein) and cultural sights is a fixed component in our weekly program. Activities that cater to social, active and cultural interests round up our divers and fun leisure program.

Language Lessons

Main language

The main language used at Dialoge - Bodensee Sprachschule GmbH is German.

Language lessons

All students will be placed in a suitable class according to their level test at the beginning of their course.Classes run Monday to Friday morning from 9 -12:30 and Tuesday/Thrusday from 1.30 - 3.25. The maximum number of students per class is 12. However, the average proves to be 8-10 students per class. Morning lessons focus on the basic skills reading, writing, speaking and listening in addition to grammar and new vocabulary, whereas afternoon lessons focus on using what have been taught in the mornings in a communicative and interactive way. At the end of their stay all students receive a corresponding Dialoge certificate.

Schedule

After an entry-level test, the participants will be grouped in suitable classes (level A0 – B2) with an average size of 8 students. The course takes place from monday to friday morning and on two afternoons per week.Besides the basic skills reading, listening, writing and speaking the lessons also include grammar and vocabulary for a better student speech comprehension by playful learning. That way German as a foreign language will be much easier for children and teenagers after the return to their regular school in their home country.A diversified leisure program completes the course program. Students will enjoy a mixture out of sporty, cultural, creative and social activities. Special highlights are some half-day or full-day trips into the near and broader surroundings.In the international mixed environment they often create memories and form friendships that last for decades.
