Summer at Delphian’s program balances academic basics and a wide variety of elective offerings with varied and challenging outdoor activities and cultural experiences in a four to six week summer program. Summer at Delphian is a residential summer camp program for children ages 8 -18. Over 250 courses and classes are offered each summer. Students can get ahead or brush up in specific school subjects. Most importantly, students are introduced to a uniquely effective study method developed by L. Ron Hubbard. In one summer, a young person can learn how to study any subject – a skill that will last a lifetime. Balancing our comprehensive academic program are a wide variety of fun and age-appropriate afternoon classes and camps including athletics, science, art, archery and more. Summer at Delphian is built as a four to six week residential programme, and families choose the arrival and departure that fits their own summer rather than being slotted into a fixed block. The day is deliberately split: mornings go to academics, drawn from more than 250 courses and classes so a child can push ahead in a subject, fill a gap from the school year, or learn the study method the school teaches to every student; afternoons switch to elective classes and camps chosen by the student and grouped by age, from athletics and archery to science, ceramics, animation, boat building, theater arts and fine art. Weekends belong to the outdoors and the region, with camping, rafting, beach trips and sightseeing across the Pacific Northwest. What sets the programme apart is that the academic half is individualised in the same way as the school year, with an academic supervisor guiding each student through their own list of courses at their own pace, while the elective and weekend half keeps the summer feeling like camp. Children aged eight to eighteen live on campus together, and the intended result is a summer where a student both gains ground academically and comes home with an outdoor Oregon summer behind them.

At Delphian, we prioritize student wellness through a variety of programs and support systems designed to create a healthy, supportive environment. Through both scheduled and optional athletic activities, students build lifelong healthy habits, while our dining program provides a diverse range of nutritious foods to accommodate various dietary needs. Our caring staff and faculty, all CPR and first aid certified, work alongside our advisor program to ensure students are continually supported academically and socially. The Wellness Office provides students with access to full-time and on-call medical personnel for wellness assistance and emergencies. Our team maintains a local directory of health professionals and assists in coordinating appointments and transportation for doctor, dentist, chiropractor, or other health services as needed. The nearest hospital is located 30 minutes away in McMinnville.
Meals
Meals are part of the residential package rather than an extra to budget for: the school's meal provision covers all meals appropriate to a student's academic schedule and activities, so breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the campus dining room around the day's classes, camps and weekend outings. When parents visit, they are welcome to sit down and eat with their child in the dining room for a small visitor meal charge, and meals at special events are complimentary.

Campus Life - Facilities Delphian School has nine dormitories—five for boys and four for girls. Each dormitory serves as its own close-knit community. On any given evening, Delphian dorms are filled with activity—students may be reading for an upcoming literature seminar, planning weekend events, or simply relaxing with friends. Each dormitory operates as a team, with students working together to keep their space clean, comfortable, and enjoyable. Resident staff live in designated units within each dorm, fostering a warm, homelike environment. Daily check-ins are conducted by staff in each dorm before bedtime, and younger students are also visited by their personal teacher each evening. Through our student leadership program, members of the student council serve as dorm and bathroom resident assistants under the guidance of the Director of Campus Life. This structure helps to build a supportive community in each dorm and teaches students how to live and work harmoniously with others. Most dorm rooms are double occupancy, with access to shared bathrooms and laundry facilities. With the exception of Dragon Hall—an external girls’ dormitory with a lounge and kitchen facility—all dormitories are housed within the main building. Each dorm room is furnished with single beds (often bunked), dressers, desks, chairs, shelving, and wardrobe space.
