Les Elfes International Winter Camps

Welcome to Les Elfes International in Verbier, Switzerland! Since 1987, we provide children and teenagers from 6-17 years old from all around the world with summer, winter & spring camps that combine the discovery and the practice of new exciting sports with learning and perfecting languages such as French, German, English, Spanish and Chinese.

During Winter Camp, from the beginning of December until the end of April, Les Elfes proposes several sessions, usually from 1 to 2 weeks long. Our campers can choose among ski or snowboard lessons, from very beginner to advanced level, combined with optional language lessons and exciting after-ski activities and excursions. Skiing and snowboarding are taught by professional instructors qualified by the Swiss School.

Our students are fully supervised and divided into groups of 2-7 children each according to their skiing/snowboarding level. Typically, the teaching day consists of learning new skills in the morning and having the opportunity to practice those skills on the slops throughout the afternoon. A hot chocolate is prepared for when the group is feeling tired!

In addition to skiing and snowboarding, winter campers can engage in ice skating, sledging, snowshoeing, and trips to neighbouring cities, among other activities. Evening activities, such as quiz evenings, movie nights, and talent performances, foster a community among campers that allows them to make lifelong friendships. The winter camps prioritise the greatest levels of safety and care while focusing on fostering a love of the outdoors, confidence, and teamwork.

Security is fundamental for us! From the moment children wake up until they go to bed, after the varied evening activities organized by Les Elfes, children are under permanent Les Elfes staff supervision in order to ensure a maximum of fun in a very safe environment. At Les Elfes, we provide adventurous activities built on a well-established foundation of professional and safe practices! Moreover, we lead children to develop personally and to explore their own identities.

Campus and Food

A private campus in Verbier, Les Elfes International offers up to 140 campers every week a safe, cosy, and contemporary setting. Ensuring a gender divide, the two adorable chalets with their breathtaking views of the Alps provide separate accommodations for boys and girls. The campus is perfect for kids because it has communal areas, kitchens that are completely furnished, and recreational areas. Every chalet offers four-bed rooms with private bathrooms, promoting seclusion as well as camaraderie.

Les Elfes' culinary offerings are tailored to meet the dietary requirements and tastes of young campers. Swiss specialties from the region as well as worldwide cuisine are served by the well-balanced and varied meals prepared by on-site chefs. All campers enjoy their meals in a safe and healthy manner thanks to careful management of allergies and special dietary needs.

Staff and Security

The health and security of campers are the top objectives at Les Elfes International. Our team members are year-round employees with a wealth of knowledge in outdoor education, childcare, and teaching. The camp keeps a low staff-to-camper ratio (1:6) in order to guarantee individualised attention and support.

All operations and facilities strictly adhere to safety regulations. This includes 24/7 supervision, frequent safety exercises, and first-aid instruction for all employees. When it comes to providing timely and efficient healthcare, Les Elfes works with nearby medical services in addition to having a nurse on staff.
