Five-Star Basketball Academy Camps give you the opportunity to get out on the court with your friends all summer long, keep your skills sharp, and level up your basketball game. The cornerstone of our summer camps is station-based training, providing campers with intensive, skill-specific improvement drills. Station training ranges from fundamental skill instruction to learning the signature moves of elite players. Five-Star Basketball Academy's Director of Instruction Bob Pierce has personally prepared unique basketball themes for each week of camp. The diverse themes give young ball players the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the nature of basketball, learn different pro teams' tactics, cop the moves of star players, and put it all together on the court in real game situations. Does my child need previous basketball experience to attend the camp? No, most of our camps are designed for kids of all skill levels, from beginners to more experienced players. Players of various ages and skill levels will be divided into appropriate training groups on the first day of camp. Please note, however, that some camps are labeled 'club team' or 'elite' - these camps are designed for players who train and play regularly and are not for beginners.​ What should kids bring to the camp? For day camps - Comfortable athletic clothing, basketball sneakers, a water bottle, and a snack or lunch (depending on the camp schedule). For Ball out camps (overnight) - athletic clothing, basketball sneakers, water bottle, sandals/slippers, 2-3 sets of base layer clothing (to be worn under the uniform); toothbrush, toothpaste, towel and facecloth, shampoo & body was, any other required toiletries; laundry detergent; facemasks (at least 5); hair dryer (if required); prescription medication
