by Dream Seeds Camp - STEAM Summer Camp
Dream Seeds Camp - STEAM Summer Camp runs this science day camp in Shinjuku City, Japan. The camp welcomes children aged 6–18, with languages on the programme. Typically open July to August — new dates coming soon. Sessions last 1–2 weeks. Activities run in English.
Why join our camp? STEAM is the key for global leaders and "change makers" in the era of Al. At our camp, students are able to learn STEAM through fun games and activities. Coding cool robots, exploring the metaverse and 3D art throughVR— these are just a few of the activities we offer! Building presentation skills The ability to coherently express ideas is a fundamental skill. At our camps we create an encouraging environment for our students to build confidence through sharing their day's work. Technological fluency The presence of technology in our lives is only increasing. We offer the opportunity for students to interact with many different apps, programs and devices to allow them to develop the ability to manipulate and utilize these platforms in any and all situations.

The programme runs as a series of week-long, single-theme workshops, so a child joining for one week dives into one skill set properly rather than sampling a little of everything. Within that theme, teaching moves from base-level navigation of the software up towards studio-level technique, with the instructor guiding each child through a project they own themselves, chosen from their own interests. Days combine hands-on technical work with time on the individual project, and close with a presentation in which every student explains what they built that day to the rest of the group. Children are placed by readiness rather than strictly by age: some follow the gentler AI, drone and web-building route while those wanting a challenge take the advanced track into Blender and Unreal Engine. Everything produced feeds a growing personal portfolio, which gives the week a clear finish line and something concrete to take home.

Presentations
Screens here are the workshop tools, not something to be rationed: children spend their sessions inside professional programmes such as Blender, DaVinci Resolve and Unreal Engine 5, using computers to model, code, edit and publish their own work. That focused screen work is deliberately broken up by the daily presentation, where students step away from the keyboard to stand up and explain the day's progress to the group, and by hands-on sessions with drones, sensors and programmable robotics. The aim is purposeful creation and understanding of AI tools rather than passive consumption.
