Join us at Royal Holloway for our Cricket Summer Camp and receive training from ECB qualified coaches representing former England captain Joe Root's cricket academy. Develop your bowling, batting and wicketkeeping skills with coaching Masterclasses from ECB Level 3 coaches.

Cricket Training with The R66T Academy
This summer our students will be receiving cricket coaching from The R66T Academy. Founded in 2018 by former England captain Joe Root, the academy has worked with thousands of students from around the world. They bring top tier coaching and an insight into the world of professional cricket in the UK. Students will take part in cricket coaching sessions & workshops designed to not only improve their batting, bowling and wicketkeeping skills but their all-round fitness and wellbeing too. Our students will have the chance to attend full-day excursions to London sporting landmarks such as Lord’s Cricket Ground and the Kia Oval, with tickets to first class cricket matches first class cricket matches.

Language Study focuses on English language fundamentals, enhancing communicative competence through vocabulary expansion and practical application in real-world contexts. Weekly Review lessons involve language recycling through role plays or extended activities. Language In Use lessons aim to cultivate transferable skills for life outside the classroom, with a British focus on cultural aspects and collaborative, creative projects.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided on campus and included in our all-inclusive programme. Packaged meals are given when on excursion.

Price: £1,428 ($1,785) per week (inclusive of full-board meals and accommodation in the university residence).
Cancellation Policy: Students cancelling over 7 days prior to the course start date, or to students who have had their visa application rejected, Oxford International will refund fees received in full less a £50 administration fee. Students cancelling 7 days or fewer prior to the course start date will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to one week’s programme fee. Payment Conditions: A full invoice will be sent out along with the booking confirmation upon receipt of a completed booking form. A 20% deposit is payable upon receipt of this confirmation and invoice. Your booking is not confirmed until we receive this deposit, unless a prior agreement is in place. Full payment of all fees is required at least 14 days prior to arrival and payment is BACS, bank transfer, credit or debit card. No services are confirmed or guaranteed until full payment is received.
The university has a 24-hour onsite security team who maintain a patrol. There is also a campuswide CCTV. All rooms have secure keycard entry. Damage deposits of £30 or €30 will be collected.
We define juniors as anyone under the age of 16 and anyone between the age of 16 and 18 who are part of a residential centre. The Department for Education and Science advises the following supervision ratio of adults to students for ages 8 to 10 as 1:10-15 and for 11+ as 1:15-20.

Every member of our staff has a criminal record check before being employed by us.

Every summer centre has a dedicated safeguarding officer who students can speak to if they have any problems. This is typically the Welfare Manager or Centre Manager.
In case of any medical matters arising, all centres have staff members trained in First Aid.
It is compulsory that all our members of staff are professionally DBS checked and trained in student welfare and safeguarding. In addition, all staff applications must be supported by a minimum 2 references. A risk assessment is written should this still be in process.

Location

The nearest airport to Cricket with The R66T Academy and Oxford International is London Heathrow. Airport pickup is available upon request. If you have arranged transfers with Oxford International a member of our staff will be waiting for you at the arrivals gate. They will accompany you by coach or taxi to your centre, where a member of the management team will be waiting to greet you. After the programme for the first day has been explained, you will be shown to your accommodation and given a campus tour. Most centres will hold a Group Leader meeting on the first evening.
