Summer School Football Camp:

Claremont Summer School is able to offer students an exciting taste of the Claremont International Football Academy programme on their visit.

Our innovative Active English program is designed to immerse students in real-world situations, using language and communication skills to solve practical challenges. Through this approach, students develop eight essential, transferable skills that are crucial for success in both academic and professional settings.

At each level, students work towards honing their skills, ensuring they leave with a well-rounded foundation in key areas such as listening, speaking, problem-solving, creativity, staying positive, aiming high, leadership, and teamwork. These skills align with the Claremont school Skills Passport, which provides a clear and structured approach to developing these critical competencies. Inspiring tuition at Claremont combines classroom activities, group work, project-based learning, and student presentations, catering to all ability levels.

Specialist sessions are divided into three pathways: Creative, Sporting and Outdoors

CREATIVE
Claremont Summer School has outstanding performing arts facilities and our creative sessions have been developed to inspire curious and confident minds. Activities on offer:

SPORT
We offer a range of sports activities with a focus on participation and inclusion. We believe sports can be a transformative experience for students, equipping them with a variety of life skills that will help them thrive. Sessions that we offer will include a selection of the following activities:

TRIPS AND VISITS
London
Students will visit the capital city, taking in the historical sights via a walking tour and wonderful Thames river boat. Students will see a wide range of the famous landmarks, including Buckingham Palace, Horse guards parade and Big Ben, before seeing the impressive skyline from the awesome London Eye. There will also be time for purchasing souvenirs!
Canterbury
As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the city boasts mediaeval architecture, cobbled streets, and significant landmarks such as St. Augustine’s Abbey and St. Martin’s Church. Canterbury also has a vibrant cultural scene, with theatres, museums, and lively festivals.
Theme Park
Students are in for a fun-filled day at one of the UK’s top theme parks, where there’s plenty to explore and enjoy. The day will be packed with exciting attractions, from high-energy rides top interactive experiences like virtual reality adventures, live shows, and themed zones that bring their favourite stories and characters to life. It’s the perfect mix of thrills, fun, and discovery!
Hastings
Known in history for the famous battle in 1066, Hastings town offers a diverse mix of modern and historical tourist attractions. Hastings has a strong connection with the sea, students will learn about the controversial smuggling trade visiting the caves and museums and the sea life centre.
Battle
The famous battle ground of 1066 which saw the French king, William the Conqueror defeat Harold Goodwinson to become the King of England. Visiting the site of the battle which is marked by the Abbey and its surrounding grounds followed by a stroll through the town.
Bodiam Castle
Owned by the National Trust of England, the Medieval Castle was built by Sir Edward Dallingridge and his wife Elizabeth. A fantastic example of British Heritage which is found in the local area.

At Claremont Summer School, students enjoy a busy and varied programme every day of the week. Excursions take place at least three times a week, typically on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, offering students exciting opportunities to explore local attractions and cultural sites.

From Monday to Friday, students begin their day with morning lessons and tuition. After lunch, they take part in a vibrant programme of sports and activities, with social events organised each evening to encourage friendships and fun.

Students are provided with three nutritious meals a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as snacks, to keep them energised throughout their busy schedules.

Accommodation & facilities

At Claremont Summer School, we’re all about creating a home-away-from-home for our students. Our boarding facilities are designed with comfort and community in mind. Bedrooms are cozy and well-furnished, accommodating up to four students per room, and many even come with en-suite bathrooms—perfect for a bit of added privacy. The boarding houses also have plenty of social spaces and lovely gardens, ideal for relaxing or making new friends.

Our residential team is on hand 24/7 to make sure everyone feels happy and cared for. With over half of our staff living on-site, there’s always a friendly face nearby. Our dedicated Matron is like a superhero in disguise—handing out medicine, nursing the unwell back to health, and even accompanying students to appointments when needed. The team works closely with our school nurse, who pops in weekly to keep everyone in tip-top shape.

Claremont’s boarding houses were recently rated 'Outstanding' by UK inspectors, and we’re proud to provide top-notch care. The Director of Summer School oversees the whole operation, making sure students are safe, happy, and thriving while keeping parents in the loop. With a mix of fun activities and downtime, we ensure students strike the perfect balance between learning, relaxing, and enjoying their summer to the fullest.

Q&A

Each two-week course costs £2,995. This excludes: flights, travel insurance, and airport transfers. We recommend a two-week duration for the course to ensure students gain the full benefit of the program. However, we are happy to customise the length of the course to accommodate shorter or longer stays based on individual needs.

A £750 deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment is required 10 weeks before the start of the course.

Safeguarding and the health and well-being of our students is the top priority across Claremont School. We are led by the Head of Safeguarding and Designated Safeguarding Lead, who oversees all the training of Summer School staff to ensure that everyone is aware of their role and responsibility in keeping students safe. A qualified Registered Nurse is available to provide medical care and dispense medicines. Parents/ guardians must notify us of any pre-existing conditions and prescription drug needs before starting the course. Many of the staff are first aid trained so they are able to deal with small incidents which may occur during activities and excursions. An emergency 24/7 contact number is provided to every student and parent/guardian.

Our Summer School is led by a team of experienced senior leaders who oversee the academic, pastoral, and operational aspects of the programme.
The Director of Summer School leads the overall strategy and delivery, supports student welfare and manages safeguarding protocols.

The Director of Studies ensures engaging, high-quality English language lessons.

The Head of boarding ensures that students are happy and safe within our boarding facilities.
In addition, each boarding house is staffed by Houseparents and residential staff who are available 24/7 to support students. Our high staff-to-student ratio means students receive close attention and personalised care throughout their time at Claremont. Many of our staff return year after year, contributing to a warm, consistent and supportive community.

At Claremont Summer School, we understand that our staff are central to creating a positive, memorable experience for our students. That’s why we take great care in selecting individuals who are not only friendly and enthusiastic but also bring the skills, experience, and dedication needed to support each student’s development. Our Academic Managers hold TEFL-Q qualifications, and all teaching staff meet the standards set by Accreditation UK for teaching English as a foreign language.

Absolutely. All staff undergo a robust recruitment process, including enhanced DBS checks (or equivalent international checks), reference checks, and detailed scrutiny of any gaps in employment history. We also request letters of good conduct from countries where staff have previously worked. These measures ensure we are hiring trustworthy, qualified individuals committed to student safety and wellbeing.

All staff undergo comprehensive onboarding, including safeguarding and pastoral care training. Continued professional development is a key part of our culture, staff participate in regular training sessions, team meetings, and performance reviews to ensure high standards across academic, activity, and welfare roles. Select staff also receive training in First Aid and Mental Health First Aid to further support student wellbeing.

Claremont maintains rigorous standards to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of all students in our care. Staff are guided by a Code of Conduct that reflects our values and outlines expectations for professional behaviour. From safeguarding to activity planning, we prioritise clear communication, transparency, and student-centered practice. Policies and procedures are reviewed regularly to stay aligned with regulatory and inspection requirements.

At Claremont, students are asked to give in their phones for safekeeping on arrival and can use them for 1-2 hours a day to contact their family and friends.

This camp was founded in 2021.

Location

The nearest airport to Claremont Summer School is London Gatwick. Airport pickup is available upon request. Claremont is within easy access of all London airports and flights should be arranged by the families.All transfers will be coordinated by the School. We advise that inbound and outbound flights should be between 10.00am – 18.00pm. Transfer costs will be provided on application depending on arrival times and numbers in the group.
