Academics
Malta is one of Europe’s most popular destinations for learning English, offering a vibrant atmosphere and an ideal environment for both study and relaxation. Our General English Course is structured to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, and speaking. With 20 lessons per week where 1 lesson is 45min, this course is designed to enhance all areas of language learning.
The Berlitz Method
At Berlitz English Language Academy in Malta, we use the proven Berlitz Method – a global standard in language learning for over 140 years. Unlike traditional language learning, The Berlitz Method focuses on speaking and listening first, allowing you to think and communicate directly in English from the very beginning.
Core Principles:
– Total immersion: English is used 100% of the time
– Real-life, practical communication
– Small groups and individual attention available
– Fast-paced, goal-driven lessons
Language lessons
Each week you will have 20 lessons per week (1 lessons = 45min). The lessons will take place either in the morning or afternoon and you would have 3 hours of classroom learning per day typically.
Your instructor teaches and addresses you in English only. Language is presented in context of real-life situations with a focus on grammar and vocabulary.
Each lesson is task-based with specific learning goals. This allows you to put your new language to use in actual situations right away.
To help you absorb your new language, every lesson follows this structure: Present, Practice and Perform. New content is presented by your instructor, you take part in both guided practice and general practice, and are then encouraged to perform what you have learnt.
15hours of lessons per week
